Miller and Condon stoking rumors on Fran leaving after the season

At 63 with the sideline antics and middle of the big ten results for the last how many years, I'm not sure why he gets so much talk. I wouldn't think his game day coaching persona would fit in a catholic school.
I know if you technically don't win the conference and aren't in last it qualifies as middle of the pack but the last 3 years have been 2/4/3 for conference finish. And another 3 year stretch of 5/3/3.

I am guessing that Notre Dame has a representative negotiating with the preferred hire and the decision may already be made. The announcement will be made about April 4.

If he had thoughts of leaving why would he make the trek to Moline on Friday with his son's Connor and Jack to watch Owen Freeman and Brock Harding and their Moline team play and defeat the team from O'Fallon, Il. Doesn't compute.....
Probably taking them to Notre Dame with him? Lol, I don’t think Frans going anywhere.

Got a ‘show cause’ penalty. They don’t just throw those out for being innocent. A few other whispers out there as well prior to that penalty.
I get that, but was it bc something he did or was he lumped in with Pearl? I cant remember lol!

Old age messing with your memory? Or are you attempting to utilize the Forbes approach during the NCAA inquiry? It was a very clintonesque approach. He was in a tough spot, tell the truth and your days coaching are over, he chose the path that has allowed him to rebuild his career.

LOL--well done! It's 100% old age!

That's right, now it's coming back to me. Roll over on your head man and commit career suicide. Makes me want him as our coach even more!

He isn't going anywhere. Iowa is a sweet gig where no performance based results are required, cost of living is low, fans kiss ass, media is compliant and bent over. No one else wants Fran or Kirk. They are all yours and Barta's for life!

You guys slay me! Would an elite school like Notre Dame hire a coach who gets called for three or four technicals and gets thrown out of every game? Who plays his sons in front of All-American talent like Dix, Bowen and Kingsbury? Get a clue, people.

Of course not,.. Notre Dame is not an elite school.

Not really. Third place three years ago is the only accurate finish stated here. Tying for 4th place with 3 other teams isn’t really 4th place imo. Also, remind me when was the 2nd place finish? Could make an argument for finishing in 8th this year.

2nd was before the poop pants yesterday. Those were all taken from sports reference so idk if they used tie breakers to figure actual finish or not. If a team finishes in a position based on tie breakers I don't think you can really argue they didn't, that's how ties work. And barring winning every game there will be ties in conference record nearly every season.

Notre Dame is actually perfect. Fran can go to confession after the game.

Fran wasn't even on most of the lists I saw.

For some reason Chris Holtman was a top pick. Lol. Ok.
Holtmann is a solid coach and an elite recruiter at a football school.

He, like Calipari, has been a victim of his own superb recruiting. I would take him at Iowa in a second.

This cannot be a serious post.
He forces us to play 4 on 5 every time. They cram the middle forcing us to rely on 3 point shots since he isn't guarded. His defense is awful. The only thing he does well is stand outside the 3 point line unguarded getting assists when we make our shots. He wouldn't have gotten minutes on any other Power 5 team let alone stuck around for 6 years.

Hoyt, my name is Mr. Tim, and I’m here to help you.

Could you point to the spot on this doll, where Connor touched you?

Every game he gets thrown out? Surprised he hasn't been fired yet. ****ing dumbass,

I heard this too but I would be really shocked if Micah Shrewsberry isnt the #1 option for ND right now.

Since 2000, Penn State had only been to 2 NCAA tournaments and 1 B10 championship game. Shrewsberry accomplished both feats in just his second year as a head coach. And he's lived in Indiana nearly his entire life.

The refs don't have the balls to throw a ND coach out of a ball game whether he/she deserved it or not. Your premise is faulty, rr.......

He's the other teams MVP almost every night.
I played college ball and coached for awhile before i started counseling addicts. You don't seem to know basketball very well but to lead the nation in assists to t o ratio means that in no way is he not an important part of our team. Nor is he a detriment. You are mistaken in your take on Connors importance to tgis team.

I'm not wrong and the last few years of advanced stats agree with my eyes. He makes it more difficult on every player. Go watch the Ohio State game and see what happens when Ulis beats his man for example. Every other player on our team has to battle harder to get open when Cmac is on the court. It closes down the driving lanes which is why we have to rely on the 3 point shot. Fran knows we should be getting it inside when the shots aren't falling but we can't because of the 4 on 5. He doesn't create for others. His assists only happens when we are draining 3's. So I respectfully disagree with you. His defense is atrocious. Anyone that can't keep Sammy Hoiberg in front of them shouldn't be getting 30 minutes a game unless they are scoring 20 ppg.
