I caught the last 6 minutes of this game.
Wolves trailed by 16 but went on a 20-4 run to get it to OT missed a good shot to win it in reg.
Ant was dinged and did not play much of 4th.
It was young guys like Terrance Shannon and Dillingham that helped McDaniel ect grab this win.
They doubled SGA the whole qtr and the others couldn't get it done. Luka did not play in that stretch.

Minny wins 116-98. Luka was 0-1 from the field in every bit of the minute and a half of playing time he got. BTW Gobert did not play.

Kevin Durant, Devin Booker & Bradley Beal are the Suns' "big 3." It's surprising to me that they are just 28-33 with the 11th best record in the Western Conference. Heck, they are 4 games out from from even making the Play-in Tournament.

Even better story from this game.

Yesterday Minnesota (43-32) beat Detroit (42-33) in Minneapolis, 123-104.

Luka played just 2 minutes, was 1-1 inside the arc (he didn't attempt a three) and 2-2 from the FT line for 4 points, 1 assist.

At this moment (in the video below), Luka had yet to enter the game. Detroit had to pick the guy who shot FTs and they chose Luka. He hit them both.

The crowd, as you can see, loved it.

Naz Reid got fouled, but he got ejected. Somebody had to shoot the FTs!

Watch both videos for context of how Luka made his way to the FT line. ;)

I guess, technically, he scored 2 points in 5 seconds of playing time.

With starters minutes, and getting comfortable in a system. I think Luka gets 20 minutes a game for all but a very few teams. Sucks that Minnesota is one of them.

Would love for the Wolves to pounce early in the series. Go for the gold early because you don't want to face Curry in a game 7, no matter who you are.

I wouldn't want to be on the other side of the bracket, but your point is well taken. A 7 beating a 2 seed. A 6 beating a 3 seed. There is a lot of parity in the league this year, and your right, you'd better take Curry out fast. He's one of the all time greats.

Gobert, Randle, McDaniels. None of them were very impressive. Towards the end of the game they couldn't get a rebound to save themselves. Gobert looked gassed. Reid looked really good. On a night where they couldn't shoot. Get Garza in. But I'm biased.

And Curry left early on with an injury to boot.

hamstring injury

I know he's getting up there in age, but these athletes are elite with elite trainers; it's surprising to me that hammie pulls happen at this level
I know. The level of energy they play with during the playoffs far exceeds that level during the regular season. When it's all on the line during the playoffs, bad things can happen when physicality and speed ramps up. :(
