- Timing on this tricky landing attempt has been a moving target: Touchdown is expected at 6:24 p.m. ET, according to the latest update from Intuitive Machines, the Houston-based company that developed the spacecraft.
- Odie’s trip to the moon is designed to assess the lunar environment of the moon's south pole ahead of NASA’s current plan to return a crewed mission there in late 2026.
- It comes after a failed US lunar landing mission last month that ended with the Peregrine spacecraft burning up in the atmosphere as it careened back toward Earth 10 days later.
Delayed, I’d feel safe betting.Odds that crewed mission gets delayed and eventually scrubbed?

Scrubbed? Nah, we’re going because we’re not sit here while the Chinese build a moon base.
Good news, NASA is going to piggyback on SpaceX to get there.Meh IDK what the chinese are gonna do but in my lifetime any time NASA plans to do anything exciting they delay and eventually scrub it before anything comes to fruition.
They had like 3 different plans to replace the space shuttle. Cancelled all 3 and just let spaceX build them a basic capsule that looks like we used in the 60's.
God knows how many plans they had to go to Mars that were canceled.
That's part of the problem. Anything really cool takes decades to pull off and when new Presidents get elected they like to change the focus on what NASA is doing so then they have to start over and nothing ends up actually getting accomplished.Meh IDK what the chinese are gonna do but in my lifetime any time NASA plans to do anything exciting they delay and eventually scrub it before anything comes to fruition.

If the Japanese can’t get it right i’m not to worried about the chinks getting there soon.Delayed, I’d feel safe betting.
