My prediction - Kris is back next year.

0% chance
Murray is the modern prototype 3 and "D" pro player.

Stand outside the arc, wait for the actual guards/oversized small forwards to drive and kick to you, shoot the occasional 3, and then go back and stand next to your guy on defense while a couple guys play 1 on 1. Make millions doing it.

Riveting...............but true.

I predict he announces he's gone within a week of being eliminated. His supporting cast was dogshit this season and could easily be even worse next year without Filip. I'm thankful he came back and made this season respectable, he easily could have bailed a year ago.

Thanks for the memories, Kris. You deserved better

You haven't watched NBA in many years, huh?

This board is full of people who don't watch the Association yet they give their two cents, thinking thier uninformed opinion is relevant.

Uninformed is an interesting statement that I agree with. I would wager that 99% of the board has never coached, and 95% of posters never played any sport beyond high school and have never officiated.

Yet they feel they know what our coaches (in all sports) should do as far as coaching philosophy, teaching the game and who should play how many minutes.

They are also expert officials and have the ability to make all the correct calls.

Yeah but some of that is just being a fan. If you watch the games it's normal to have comments "in hindsight."

My issue comes from people who never watch the NBA, but they have their 25 year old stereotypes that don't exist anymore. You can't have an opinion on something you don't of, especially when it's a dumbass opinion that is not true.

Still needs to improve in a couple of areas - D and 3's shooting percentage.

Well if he goes in the draft he will be going to the No Defense Assoc so he is probably ok on defense. I think he could get a little stronger, bulkier, and work on his right hand and explosiveness to dunk from a standing start by the rim.

If he announces he is leaving he can immediately go into all waking hours concentrating on his bball skills. Go to his few classes but practice the rest of the time, work out, etc.

So I say he is going also based on his one year at prep school

I don’t disagree with any of what you’ve stated.

But the same premise holds true. If you’ve never played (beyond HS), coached or officiated you (not you personally) are uninformed. (Obviously there are a few exceptions)

I’m not saying posters, or their opinions, are dumb, just that most of their thoughts are based on nothing more than being a fan of whatever team they are rooting for and their belief that they know more than the coaching staff of officiating crew.

Totally agree …..always said social media is poison because it gives dumb people a voice!!

Went to Suns vs Kings game last night to watch Keegan, He started both half's but sits early. Went 0-2 Was also team captain ??
Kris needs to get a lot better for pro game!! The pro game is way fast especially the 2nd half. He is just a rookie and will find a spot.
I don't know when they try to get a practice in or improve their game as after this road game they were of to a Bucks game. I'm sure $$ help.
Smart move for Kris is to stay but $$ JMHO

Do you really think it matters? 😂😂
Yep - it would be huge to get Kris M. back for one more season; although, I’m skeptical that happens. However, I was surprised last year that Indiana’s stud Jackson-Davis didn’t go to the NBA this year, so who knows.

He's not coming back. He'll be late 1st/early 2nd rounder. I don't expect him to have the rookie season his brother is, but he'll have a nice career.

Correct but those are not reason's to return to college basketball.

Did you notice how much Keegans shot has improved vs last year?

Kris draft stock will not improve by returning and it could drop.

"Kris' draft stock will not improve by returning and it could drop"

That is the most important thing for Kris. He just needs to listen to the most knowledge person in HIS corner. If they tell him that he is a lock for middle/late 1st round and going to be hard to move much higher with another year. He needs to go.

I think he can improve and be a higher pick next year, but it's absolutely a risk to do that....and wouldn't blame him for going this year.

Him and his brother are great reps for IOWA, so best of luck to him whichever he decides.

Social media? Been to a HS basketball game...ever? Every single fan for generations has been exactly as you ascribe to social media.

Yep. The pro scouts miss quite a bit. But, they also have enough experience and understanding to be able to identify talent/ability. If you need to improve something for more PT, it's better to get paid and focus 100% on it instead of having to get less money (if any) and split your focus with other things (like school work).

1st rd picks get guarantee 3 yr contract. Odds of kris being mid to late 1st rd are very high. That is why hawk fans can stop dreaming of him coming back. Even if for some reason he drops out coming back next year won’t improve his stock with him being the age of a normal college sr this year.

We will likely be bad next year whether Kris is here or not.

If Kris leaves and gets drafted in the 1st round this year, it will probably be the best outcome for both him and Iowa as a program (not sure the last time we had back to back 1st rounders and/or 3 straight years of draft picks).
