Consistent intensity.Still needs to improve in a couple of areas - D and 3's shooting percentage.

Referring to Kris's teammates as "dogshit" is just so disrespectful. Please take a few moments to think before posting in the future.I predict he announces he's gone within a week of being eliminated. His supporting cast was dogshit this season and could easily be even worse next year without Filip. I'm thankful he came back and made this season respectable, he easily could have bailed a year ago.
Thanks for the memories, Kris. You deserved better
Oh you poor little snowflake. Some decent individual players but from a team talent perspective they'd be Minnesota without him. Deal with itReferring to Kris's teammates as "dogshit" is just so disrespectful. Please take a few moments to think before posting in the future.
The Iowa's ESPN homepage show's he went down to 33.9% on 3's. I'd love to see Kris come back, but doubt that happens. Good luck Kris, just like your brother we'll be watching.Last year at Iowa, he shot exactly 40% from the arc. This year, he is shooting 40.9%. You must have a keen sight to notice that difference.![]()
Gosh, you must be an incredibly brave person, throwing those insults from your keyboard. Must be amazing to be you!Oh you poor little snowflake. Some decent individual players but from a team talent perspective they'd be Minnesota without him. Deal with it
So when he said that "That’s not how I wanted to go out" we should assume he wasn't referring to his last game at Iowa?I think he ought to go to the combine or whatever and get evaluated. I do expect him back next year. He is very good but needs to tweak out a couple of things and play with a chip on his shoulders.
What better place to "tweak" than in professional basketball?I think he ought to go to the combine or whatever and get evaluated. I do expect him back next year. He is very good but needs to tweak out a couple of things and play with a chip on his shoulders.
if Kris gets stronger and learns to use his off hand his stock will absolutely go up. Kegan was stronger, could get open through contact. and could use his off hand. Kris is good but has ways to improve.Correct but those are not reason's to return to college basketball.
Did you notice how much Keegans shot has improved vs last year?
Kris draft stock will not improve by returning and it could drop.
Kris did indeed embrace the role and was the guy this year. Reason he avg over 20 pts, 1st team all conference and 3rd team AA. You don’t get those accolades without being the main guy and by far most consistent player on the team this year.I disagree that coming back couldn't help his stock. My uneducated guess is 2nd round once all early entries announce.
The only way he raises his stock would be if he embraces being The Guy. He shied away this year, and could see it in moments of most games. He needs to be the guy every game that dunked over two Tigers on Thursday then busted them for a couple 3's. If he can't be that guy don't expect to be drafted in the 1st round ever just be happy to get in the NBA and be a role player.
so you are saying if he comes back he will not/can not improve but in fact will get worse so will be drafted lower? it would be more reasonable to assume he would get stronger and improve his ability to go to his right and use his off hand which would be a huge plus for him.He could have gone last year but took a chance on coming back and being a 1st rounder. Whether that happens or not we'll see, but it would be a huge mistake to come back again. He would be running the risk of dropping even lower in the draft.
This douchebag is sure to be a fantastic Nintendo basketball player....probably an All-American...Gosh, you must be an incredibly brave person, throwing those insults from your keyboard. Must be amazing to be you!
Let me get this straight, Age wise he's was a senior, the best players that go to the NBA are far younger. If he comes back, a third of his time would have to be spent in the classroom, a third on the court, and a third sleeping and eating. Not exactly but close.
If he declares for the NBA draft and even if he drops to the 2nd round he can spend as much time as he wants, working on his game and probably make more money then NIL. I'd be real shocked if he comes back, he is as good as gone....
Can’t think of a kid who could benefit more from another year than Kris. It’ll give him a chance to work on his D and rebounding along with adding a couple of twists to his O game.Still needs to improve in a couple of areas - D and 3's shooting percentage.
Then you and I saw two different types of players.Kris did indeed embrace the role and was the guy this year. Reason he avg over 20 pts, 1st team all conference and 3rd team AA. You don’t get those accolades without being the main guy and by far most consistent player on the team this year.
99% of posters here probably aren't mechanics either, but when they turn the ignitions on their cars and nothing happens, they know somethings wrong.Uninformed is an interesting statement that I agree with. I would wager that 99% of the board has never coached, and 95% of posters never played any sport beyond high school and have never officiated.
Yet they feel they know what our coaches (in all sports) should do as far as coaching philosophy, teaching the game and who should play how many minutes.
They are also expert officials and have the ability to make all the correct calls.

But they know a fix needs to be made.True. But they typically don’t know what’s wrong and they have no idea how to fix it. With a few exceptions obviously

not sure how that logic works…better players on the other teams as well.He will be better in the NBA due to having better players around him.
financially alone he is not better off getting drafted in the second round and the nba is not the place to work on improving your game. the only risk is if Kris is not as good as everyone thinks and regresses…which I for one do not think is the case. I think he will improve. It’s too risky to come back. If the year doesn’t go right then he could be screwed. He’s better off getting drafted even in the second round and then work on his improvements and not have to focus on school.
People complain about how can Iowa have the POY, AA and not do well in the tournament. The supporting cast, guard play being the biggest issue, has not been where it needs to be to succeed in the tournament. People say the same thing about the football team. In both programs, Iowa does not have elite level players at enough positions. It is pretty easy to take away a team's best player in college basketball, which can make them look like they are not as good as they are.not sure how that logic works…better players on the other teams as well.
