A Nate Stanley against ISU........Lol. I just asked in another thread the last time an Iowa QB threw for 5 TDs.
Chuck Hartlieb?

Dolph pointed out after game that NS is now only 4 TD's short of Chuck Long's single season record. With 4 more games left (bowl included) and the offense growing in consistency and experience, I'd say he's got a chance.Nate "The Great" became the latest hero in Hawkeye
history at Kinnick Stadium. He threw 5 touchdown passes
against the 6th ranked Buckeyes to lead Iowa to an upset
victory. Stanley looked poised and polished as he picked
apart the vaunted Ohio State defense.
Bottom Line: Nate has thrown 22 TD passes this season
as a rookie sophomore. Congrats to Nate for being great.
Barring Wadley literally putting himself into the Heisman conversation, Stanley better break that record otherwise it's going to be a 7-5 finish and a long offseason on this boardDolph pointed out after game that NS is now only 4 TD's short of Chuck Long's single season record. We threw a lot on 1st down before we got big lead--that was the break from past tendency. I think I saw a draw play, which I hadn't all season. We passed to our snapper. Stanley punted. I think it is safe to say Ohio State wasn't expecting a lot of the things we did.
Vandenburg tied for 3rd his junior season.... God I hate Greg Davis22 TDs is tied for 5th place in a season. 1. Long (Sr.) 27 2. Banks (Sr.) 26 3. 3. tie Vandenberg (Jr.) & Stanzi (Sr.) 25 5. Tie Stanley (So.) Tate (Jr.) & Long (Jr.) 22
With four games to go that 32 season old record just might get broken this season. Maintaining his current average Nate should throw about 7 more TDs and 800 more yards. Of course, nothing is a given, especially for Iowa.
But........this youngster is very good already and heading up not down.
