National radio is ripping Iowa

I know what’s up, I visit the main board. You thrive on Iowa’s failures and let it be known. Keep your crap on the main board.
Lol nah, he hides his insecurities about Wisconsin by trying to troll about Iowa losing.

It's fun to guide him down his own rabbit hole, honestly.

Sucks that there’s a lot of jeering towards Iowa and the B1G, but it is completely warranted.

I think part of it is because the B1G doesn’t recruit as well as other power conferences. There’s talent in the B1G footprint but lots of blue chippers and even some diamonds-in-the-rough keep slipping through the B1G’s collective fingers.

I keep seeing that Iowa just caught a hot shooting team. That seems to be pretty common theme with Frans teams. Oregon was missing really early and they are a streaky shooting team. The best way for a cold shooter to get hot is get open looks and keep shooting. Too bad there isn’t something to keep the shooters cold. Maybe Fran could create something and call it defense.

I hate, as a Cyclone fan, to try to bring some perspective, but had the Big 10 not been performing so poorly in the previous days, this wouldn't be much more than a blip on the national radar. A 2-seed losing in the first round is embarrassing (believe me, I know). Once you get past the first round, every game is a potential L for almost every team except those seasons where there appears to be a dominate team - like Gonzaga this year. It was clear that Oregon was underrated, but even if their ranking was correct, they were still a 7 seed. That translates to being ranked somewhere between the top 25-28 team. Once you start talking about teams at that level, they can beat pretty much anyone on their day.

To sum up my rambling post, the talent is really spread out in college basketball nowadays and that means that there are hardly any safe games once you get past the first round anymore. I'm convinced most of the national dumping on Iowa is really just a continuation of dumping on the conference as a whole.
Typically in the NCAA tourney, a 1 seed washes out the first weekend, a 2 seed loses the first day, and another 2 seed may flame out the first weekend. You also see 3 and 4 seeds lose the first day. It just so happened that most of those teams happen to be in the BIG.

Does that make the BIG as a conference over rated? It does for this tournament but there are folks that will talk metrics to you all day that says the BIG as one the best if not the best conference this year.

In a couple of cases, teams from the BIG played under seeded teams those being Iowa and Illinois. Not an excuse, just an observation. For the most part, fOSU and PU played stupid and poorly, Rutgers started playing stall ball up 9 with 4 to go, Wisky had to play perfectly but didn't, so we'll see what UM and UM do tonight. May be a total flame out.

lot of things here but if they are giving the big10 crap they should also be giving the big12 the same. they had 2 3 seed gone early and a third get buried by 20 plus in Ks.

They’ve moved on to Kansas now. It’s been a strange tournament. I’ll tell you one thing I’ll never do again..... under/over estimate a team based solely on conference affiliation. You can find my post if you’d like regarding the Pac 12...yikes, bad take.

FIFY.

Yikes, 34 points to USC to be exact. And to think I was worried about playing Kansas before the Oregon game. LoL.
