Natural Immunity for the win AGAIN

Hey just because I made a choice for me not to be experimented on doesn't mean I wish anything bad for those that do. I've had covid 1 time, recovered and haven't had anything since, not even the sniffles. Could be dumb luck, could be my immune system doing its job, could be good hygiene habits, and my daily vitamins doing work? All of the above?

I am not saying no one should get vaccinated, far from it. But these things aren't what they were presented to be, and should have NEVER been mandated on ANYONE.

so is my statement true or false?
It's false/misleading.

Their risks are 7-fold with Covid
Vaccines REDUCE the risk of myocarditis when you are exposed to/infected with the virus, by 50%.

Run the numbers on that, and you will find you have 30% lower risk of myocarditis by getting vaccinated.

Here's that math for you, since you seem to be math-illiterate here:

If 30 people per 100,000 would get myocarditis from the vaccines
Then 7x, 210, people per 100,000 - unvaccinated - will get myocarditis from the virus
And 105 vaccinated people per 100,000 will get myocarditis from the virus when exposed (50% reduced risk)

210 > (105+30)

105+30 / 210 = 64.3%

Ergo: getting vaccinate will REDUCE your overall risks for myocarditis by more than 35%
With the ADDED BENEFIT that you know when you look for the heart issues when you get a vaccine, because you know your exposure window. That is NOT TRUE necessarily with Covid.

You can get the vaccines BEFORE there are major outbreaks of newer variants to have protection DURING those winter outbreaks.

If you skip the vaccines, you're rolling the dice that those variants won't cause a serious illness.
if you get the vaccine you're rolling the dice you could experience a negative effect like myocarditis.

At one time, doctors, actual doctors thought smoking cigarettes was healthy and even prescribed them. Let's not pretend they have a perfect track record and the medical/scientific community is above reproach. I think its fair to question the jabs.
Ask questions, fine.

Calling them poison just makes you sound stupid.

That's mostly just Newton's Third law in effect. That's how I arrived at poison. One extreme says these things are perfect and not at all broken and you're a moron for questioning them at all... the equal and opposite reaction is to call them poison. I mostly do it to screw with Joe's Place.

I believe I am part of the “almost everyone.” I’ve never had COVID. Got the initial 2 shot vaccination, boosted the next fall. No further boosters.

Same here. Never had Covid. Initial J&J vaccination, boosted twice (January 2022 and December 2022), one Moderna one Pfizer.

"But at this point, it is likely that almost everyone — not quite everyone, but almost everyone — in America has been infected with Covid-19 at least once."
Only one member in my extended family has had Covid. That’s about 1 in 17. So I’d like to see a more detailed definition of almost everyone.

So, you believe we would have been better off just doing nothing and letting the virus run its course?

Would we have had more or fewer deaths than the ~1million deaths in the US
Fair question. No, I don't think doing nothing was better than what was done, but I don't believe this had to be an all or nothing binary choice.

According to the WHO covid dashboard the US has had 103,436,829 cases of covid...suggesting about 1 in 3 Americans have had covid. Thats pretty significant.

Considering the claims that only 20% of those infected display symptoms, then that's actually 500,000,000

Or enough that most Americans have been infected at least once already...

If natural immunity does wipe out Covid someday some of you are going to be devastated.

How well has "natural immunity" worked on influenza?

Now, consider that Covid mutates anywhere from 2.5x to 4x times faster than most influenza strains do. AND has more mammalian reservoirs to mutate within.

Your math and facts aren't correct. 40% don't display symptoms. 40% display mild symptoms. That means 60% display symptoms.

Bottom line is that most people in the US have had COVID, whether they knew it or not, and whether they were vaccinated or not.
