How many former Iowa players are on an NBA summer league team?
My Cyclone fan neighbor said ISU has 10 former players on teams this summer. WTH?

Pete, Ute, and Cook. Any more?
They probably have one of the highest percentages of NBA players with degrees of almost any school that has more than a couple kids on a roster. Niang, Morris, Nader, Weiler-Babb, Burton, Mitrou-Long and Shayok all have degrees from ISU. Doubt there are too many schools with 7 players playing on a permanent roster or in summer league that have more than 7.Do any of them actually have a degree from IA State or were they just there to play basketball?

Yeah, I saw it. High ankle sprain from earlier in the season.

They are all tremendous players offensively, not so much defensively. You still need elite defense to win at an even higher level. Almost every Final Four team lately has had a top 30 defense.Shouldn’t they have won even more than they did with all that talent?

Sounds about like Hawkeye Football.Yea what the hell....
all those clowns therefore underachieved in Ames and collectively sucked.... must have been too busy breaking down the doors to another successful season
Actually, make that 8 now with the Raptors signing of Thomas. They probably have one of the highest percentages of NBA players with degrees of almost any school that has more than a couple kids on a roster. If by underachieving you mean developing players that were not on the NBA radar into NBA caliber players then yes. I doubt there are hardly any other programs that have had as many four/five year players drafted or make the league after going undrafted as ISU has the last 5 years. But these are not one and done elite talents, they are players that worked hard and earned their spots. So Fred and Prohm have under achieved. Interesting.

But as far as overall wins go, you still need to play defense to go with offense and while ISU's offense has been elite for most of the last decade, their defense has mostly not been. That limited the amount of wins they could find as any Iowa fan should understand. You have to be able to play both sides of the ball if you want to go deep into March.
Made it as far as Duke did with 3 top 10 picks last year. So they did alright.
I read somewhere that the Wiz was showing interest in him but haven't seen or heard anything else.I thought White was comming back to Washington?
Once....

Correct, both Prohm and Hoiberg have made the Sweet 16. Great job by both of them.
Pete, Ute, and Cook. Any more?
What?
Losing in the Round of 64 is the same as getting beat in the Elite Eight?
He was talking about the ISU teams with all the NBA guys on them.
Jesus. I was merely pointing out that having a team with some good NBA prospects on it doesn't mean you're automatically in the Final Four, and that those teams made the Sweet 16, which is still a great accomplishment.
Absolutely. They had plenty of talent but the coaching was below average.Shouldn’t they have won even more than they did with all that talent?
