Yeah very true. What was he doing? I hate to say it but this does feel like another failed match in regards to going in with a plan, given the opponent and context. Context being Lee isn’t 100%. I hate to give psu credit, but there top guys never lose these matches. Never. Sure most our guys are 80% as talented but lee was the one who was a blue chip talent

This doesn’t diminish his career at Iowa at all. He will always be remembered as one of the best ever. Be thankful you got to enjoy him as long as you did.

Ultimately he got the review call and started on top in his best position with under a minute left and let him escape. Guy's usually don't get out there. Spencer had that pale clamy look we have seen at times when he struggles with energy.
Doesn't change the fact that Spencer wrestled tight the entire match.
And yeah, we're in captain obvious territory with brands strategizing.

Take a few minutes, sit back and realize there are people behind the names you see on the screen. It’s disgusting. I don’t even know what else to say. I hope Terry is close to Spencer right now. He’s about the only one that can talk to him. Their relationship and Terry s experience are invaluable now.

It’s ridiculous. There is naunce, where you can focus on your opponent and not wrestle your match but it’s foolish to not have a plan. Ramos is a big move guy. Should have never gotten in compromising ties.

No one is 100% at this point in the season, including Ramos. Give Ramos credit, he went toe to toe, didn’t back down, and pulled off one of the biggest tourney upsets in years.
Between them. Not between our fan bases. And it shouldn’t be between people that don’t truly know what’s going on. I’ll also question the use of the word trashed. It’s not in their character to be negative.

Of course it will diminish his career. That’s like saying if Pat Mahomes lost this Super Bowl, never won another, that losing the Super Bowl wouldn’t diminish his career. Lee is an all time great Hawkeye, but he’ll never be a top 10 wrestler all time. Anyone who won 4 is above him. He’s still awesome and I love lee but this diminishes his career much like metcalf losing diminished his. And David Taylor losing two diminished his.
If he can win a gold in Olympics and multiple worlds that could shift his overall resume, much like Taylor has.
That's the dumbest statement I've ever seen. What the hell does state leadership have to do with our Athletic programs. Our Athletic Dept is 100% financially independent and the State has zero say in anything in the Athletic department. And if we want to compete with the blue bloods of the world you need to throw your morality right out the window to win at all costs. PSU wrestling is the perfect example of that since Cael arrived. So again, I think Pennsylvania might be a tad better place for you...

Come on guys. Every fan base has the ultimate trump card over Penn State. Only school I still shudder when I see someone wearing a Nittany Lion or see the words Penn State. Don’t know if that will ever go away. Don’t need to feed their trolls.
My dude, I’ve been to some of the biggest sporting events in the world, including this one half a dozen times and around parents and relatives. I have NEVER seen that. They went all in on Iowa, and he has the worst case scenario to show for it.
