Terrible take. The effort absolutely was there. He was just wrestling one armed and one legged and 100% got outmuscled each exchange. Try having no leverage on 1 leg while also having no strength in your right arm. How much “effort” do you think it will look like you have???
I lived with a severe labral tear for 20 years and just had it repaired shortly before Covid. Had it all through high school and college and well into my adult life, so I can relate to the pain he has.

If you were to go ask Teemer right now he'd even agree that "the effort" wasn't there. He straight up looked like he wasn't ready to go.

I watched that match VERY closely. I don’t want to bog this thread down arguing, so I will just say I couldn’t disagree with you more and will leave it at that…

Nice try, joker
Just stop recruiting guys that aren't tall enough for the weight you have them.

I suspect Arnold will have the same issues this weekend.
5'7"/5'8" is just too small >165.
It's why I think GA struggles next year even wrestling 174.

He was up by 2. Its was great strategy because he could afford the stall. He did a great job hipping back and driving hard with the whizzer.

absolutely. He did what he has to do. I was just nervous they were going to hit him more

Already have guys calling for Brands fired. Meanwhile Iowa is 4-2 with 3 bonus wins. The two losses are a 112lber and a one legged one armed transfer.

Can’t make this stuff up…
Well said, no surprises so far. It would have been nice if Cruz could have pulled that first one off but I didn’t expect it. With JT’s injury a deep run was always gonna be a challenge. I hope he comes out scrapping in his consolation matches, but an injured senior sometimes fades away after an early loss.

2 bonus wins.

Nobody should be freaking out, but Ayala is the only guy who wrestled well so far. I just think we all want the guys to be wrestling their best and that’s not what we’ve seen so far.

It ain't how tall you are, it's how smart you are.
And if you ain't smart, it's how tough you are.

--------That's what I tell my Grandmonsters.

Our guy Angel is on Mat 7 and had to stop the action for a review. Whatever the hell they are looking at has taken OVER 5 minutes to review and they are STILL looking at it
