Not sure how good a rider Myers is, but if you're confident in getting the takedown, it's not a bad strategy. You're up 6-0, all you have to do is not get turned, so don't risk that.

SeaBass just faceplanted into the tables near the mat... why the f*ck do they have them positioned so close? Surprised it hasn't happened more often. Saw yesterday they called out of bounds because one guy was near the table but the other guy still had both feet in bounds. Stupid set up in Detroit.
If Seabass makes the finals against Lee, do I have to root for him? That assuming he gets past Real Woods.

Arizona State has some good wrestlers, but I also think they have some inflated seeds. Regardless, it’s good for the sport for them to have success. Better competition outside the big ten is a good thing.

Glad I posted this so he got a takedown. Was his opponent injured all year or something though? A 2v17 match shouldn't be that tight.
Oh, and turn ACL may have a little bit to do with it

Re Drake.
#1 the injury pretty much eliminates his lead shot and hampers various other things you need two good arms to do in wrestling.
#2 he is a true freshman giving up horse power and experience.
#3 he is still right in every match with all but the top 3 guys in the weight.
#4 he needs to get surgery and get healthy. He needs to get stronger. He needs to get a little better on top and bottom. His leg defense could improve some. His finishing technique needs polish. All these things are typical of true freshman let alone injured ones. He had the go ahead TD in the last match dead to rights but was a bit sloppy and got tied up.

Holy cow on Ayala folks. It's not like anyone is writing him off forever and ever. Injury or no injury, I just think he still has quite a ways to go to physically match the best of the best. He's young. He has time. Sorry for thinking he isn't an automatic 3x national champion.
