Gomez throws Andonian down! Tied 6-6 end of 2nd. What a match.

Review. No takedown. 6-4 Andonian going into the 3rd. Watch for the big throw here! Gomez goes big but falls to his back and gets pinned. Nice match for Andonian

So, you didn't follow Drake in high school and you ask if he should have been better. How many freaking times do some of us say that Drake is a true freshman AND has a bad shoulder? Just wait when he comes off his redshirt season when he will have the time to get stronger and be able to roll around with Spencer. If he doesn't improve then you may have an argument. But questioning him now is just incredibly stupid at best.

^ THIS. When mine was torn I couldn't even wipe my a$$. Couldn't imagine trying to wrestle.
I don't have personal experience with having a torn labrum, but I do know a former wrestler that did. He never complained publicly that I ever heard, but at the end of his career, he couldn't raise his hand above his head.

He endured a good bit of criticism, but "swallowed" it. Anyone that judges the true capability, or potential, of a wrestler who is battling that injury just simply doesn't get it IMO.

Not to mention he's also wrestling in the toughest NCAA Tourney possibly ever.

His pace was great at the beginning of the season, but it seemed to slow because he exposed himself too much defensively and lost a couple times to McKee by then.

Then he got hurt. His want to is there without question, but regardless of his injury his scrambling ability is poor IMO. That gets him in trouble a lot. He's young and got time to get stronger and fix it. If he does he'll be tougher than hell IMO.
Scrambling is more difficult with one arm versus two.

Too bad for Gomez. Next time instead of telling the world how great you are maybe try and stay off your back.
Live by the sword, die by the sword. You would have thought after 2 failed throws and giving up 6 points, the 3rd period would have been the time to wrestle a bit smarter.
