NCAA Semifinals and Blood Round Thread

There's obviously high emotions right now so a lot of people are going to be posting things out of frustration, but somethings not right. For the first time in tnt tenure I'm sensing some "coasting" or just going thru the motions. Or maybe the wrestlers are tired of the same message over and over and are checking out. No matter what, there better be some big changes going forward.
Happens when you are in college for 7 years lmao. As the others say!!!

Most of the regulars in this here Cesspool are feeling a bit down after watching the team all year and pulling hard for them to go out with some good results for all their hard work over the years. Not happening according to what we wish for. So down a bit and maybe kind of sensitive.

And then the BB and FB guys come here for a short time and start crying and bitching about how we need this and fix that and they've got it all figured from their couches. Of course, not sure any of them have ever been employed in the wrestling field at any level, much less an elite college level.

So the BB and FB boys get called out and they are like all up in arms about "What did I say " "Don't pick on me" Their lack of self awareness is something to behold only to be overshadowed by their shallow understanding of what they are trying to talk about.

But they have all the answers or so they say.
Outstanding assessment of the situation, Kwood!! :)

That message TnT are sending is probably the same message Gable pounded in everyones head all those years.

ADS, Bull, Kem, Warner , and big Cass are Iowas only All Americans. Not a sentence I thought I’d have to type. What a day.
Really, the only "for sure" AA that missed out is Eirmann.

Ayala was always a long shot as a true fresh. The right matchups, and he had a chance. Once he got injured, that became a huge hill to climb.
Murin had a shot, but again matchups can give him problems.
Young has the ability, but like we've all said...if you keep winning by 1 point, you'll lose by 1 point too.

Yea, I have to admit I'm more of a football guy in knowledge so I just read the comments of some and try to learn from them. It's actually quite comical.

Young drawing the best guy at his weight on the backside killed his chances.

Don't lose then, and us lowly peasants from the basketball board wouldn't come over here and start a riot......... ;)

Iowa wrestling is like the classic situation where you have a team or a player or even in other mediums like a comedian or a play or a band etc, and people that have seen them throughout the year are like, "Oh they're awesome, you have to see them! Blah blah blah" and they build the hype up, and then you see them in person for the first time and they lay a massive egg and look or sound like absolute dog sh**, and you're thinking............wtf were these guys talking about?

But then these same people (wrestling fans) are like, oh you don't understand, they aren't always like this. They just had a bad night.

Except that bad night is at nationals for wrestling.........and it happens almost every year, and will definitely continue to happen next year if current roster projections hold.

That's where Iowa wrestling fans are at right now, although in all fairness, you can make that argument for most of Iowa athletics.

In fact, that will probably happen with the Iowa women. They won the Big Ten as double champs and have the best player in the nation, but if some dad-jeans wearing wrestling fan watches the Iowa women for the first time if/when they lose to South Carolina in the Elite 8 with their superior roster, that wrestling fan will probably also be like, "meh, I don't see what the hype is all about"...............

Hope that was perfectly not confusing! :D

If you went and saw Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page had a broken hand and Robert Plant had a sore throat you would understand why they played like sh^t that night.
