Nebbie down to ONE scholarship QB (Sep 10: Listed Day to Day)

So how attractive will Frost's offense continue to be in the BIG, if he can't bring the OL up to league standards in short order? I think thats what inquiring minds want to know........

it will be interesting to see. They ran the ball pretty well on Saturday, especially in the first half, so I'm interested to see how they performa in the B1G. Unfortunately, when they needed it the most, they ran out of gas. Conditioning will get better. One thing about game shape is no matter how hard you practice, you can't practice your way into game shape. It's one of those things that you earn by doing. I think Colorado looked slightly more "fresh", if that's the word, in the fourth.

Hey, was that you on the Neb board that was spouting off about our fan base having little man's syndrome? And that our colors suck?
I stuck up for you on here that you just weren't another Neb douche. Guess I was wrong and I apologize to the rest of the board for it. Now GTFO, you two-faced POS.

That is the danger with having a running QB. This is why Gebbia shouldn't have left. He could be starting next week with the opportunity to show he deserves the starting job from there on out.

That was me. There are a bunch of them over here that have it. And I made that statement right after I was over here, having a conversation with with someone, and one of those "little men" decided to come in and piss all over it. So I may have been irritated. If that doesn't describe you, then it wasn't intended or you. I've never backed away from that, though. But I also have said there are plenty of good people I enjoy talking with over here. I've gotten better at blocking the trolls and turds over here. Believe me, I know we have them too. I'm just calling a spade a spade.

I appreciated you when you stuck up for me. I haven't changed. I don't make a habit of backing down from the douches over here that act like jerks, but I'll block more of them going forward. I try to treat people with respect until they disrespect me. That's all.

It's okay if I don't like your colors, right?
1) I do like the gold and black CU uniforms
2) it was a joke
3) I'm sorry if it offended you (honestly)
4) I don't like the look of yellow and black

I know there are plenty of people that disparage the scarlet and cream, the uniforms, whatever else. Sometimes its meant to piss people off. Sometimes its a preference thing.

I'll say it again because I feel bad about it: I let one of the trolls here get under my skin and I was bouncing between boards, and I said more in that message more than I truly feel. I was irritated and I spouted off, and it was wrong of me. I apologize for it. I blocked the dude who likes to troll me over here, and will continue to block others so that I can have good discussions and interactions with good people like you on this board.

Um...considering that our OLine looked much better in their FIRST game under Frosts staff than they have in at least 3 years, I would say they are well on their way.

I’m the guy he blocked. It is I. I am the troll on my own board trolling guys from other boards.

Over your head, huh? That's OK. I didn't expect you to understand.
Hey, it's Hoosker Douche. Good to see you Hoosker Douche. You d-bags have been a little hard to find around here lately after crapping down your own leg again. Have you guys really lost 7 of your last 8? Good to know you can still talk sh*t after that.

Colorado is horrible. They will finish towards the bottom of the PAC12 and you LOST to them.

The stat I like is the losing 4 out of the last 5 to the Hawks and three in a row by ever increasing margins of 21, 30 and 42 points. And although the hawks have beaten the nebbies three times in a row in Lincoln, nebbie still thinks they will magically flip that around and beat us at home this season.

DELUSIONAL!!!

No, "little man syndrome" is when someone is trying act bigger than they are. That's Nebraska, not Iowa.

We've beaten Nebraska 4 of 5 and 3 straight. That's called bragging rights.

And wasn't the one loss, the one where Iowa self-destructed in the 4th quarter and Nebraska won on a last second play?

It's part of the game, it's why it's four quarters, and the final score says who won and lost. There is no asterisk next to it in the scorebook, so don't try to put one next to it.

The series since the new Big 10 started is 3-4. Let's count them all, not just those that serve your narrative.

Which is why it accurately describes many Iowa fans. It's how a bunch of you act. Just look at message board titles started by your fans.

If that isn't you, then no reason to take offense.

If we are going that way. Iowa has beaten

-2013 Ron Kellogg led Nebraska team

-2015 - Self destructed 5 turnover game by YOLO bomb Armstrong

-2016 Torn hamstring Armstrong

-2017 Nebraska team that gave up 3 weeks previously.

Congrats on being so good.

Look at that, one Neb douche says that there are no asterisks and the next Neb douche tries to put an asterisk next to their last four losses to Iowa. You can't make this shit up. Talk about trying to fit a narrative..... I wonder if the first Neb douche reminded his own board that there are no excuses after their most previous loss to Colorado....

Regarding the original thread topic, NE would appear to be in decent shape at the moment with their starter on day-to-day status (much like ikm and ism for us) and a acceptable backup available.
About their on field performance, even though I do think a Riley led team would've performed just as well against colorado, it is impressive that sf got both his o and D to look like they belong in game 1. For a new coaching staff to operate like they've been working together for years is worth noting. And AM is a really good qb, he seems on par with excellent dual threats like barrett, pryor, troy smith that osu for one seems to put out regularly.

You can read my apology to you in the thread you posted in a few days ago. If you don't accept it, that's up to you. I was being honest with you. I'm not perfect and I made a mistake, and I tried to apologize.

1) Excuses are excuses. If I see them, I call them out. I posted on the Husker Board that
2) He was attempting to show how silly it is to say "if" and "but". It can be done in both directions.

here's a comment I made on Monday in reply to a Buff fan's post on our site.:

. . . well, a lot less fun for you guys, but that was a big-time college game-day atmosphere that is sorely lacking in the PAC 12. And yeah, it's no fun losing a game where you feel you outplayed the other guy but . . . join the club. We've got jackets. 2 words: Alex Henery in 2008. JJ Flannigan dropping the ball with nobody near him in 1988. You guys have stomped on my aorta plenty of times.

Anyway, I hope Martinez is OK. That kid is a major league talent and CU was scrambling to figure him out . And clearly, playing CSU was not much preparation for Nebraska's OL and DL's - I doubt we'll see much better in the PAC 12. CU did some adjusting at halftime and stemmed the tide a bit, but that was a little culture shock.

Not playing Akron I think benefited you guys. NU obviously broke down the CSU tape and knew what was coming. CU had next to no idea what NU had (has) under the hood . CU just has a couple of guys who made plays under the gun. Great game. Good luck.

See you in Boulder.

You have a really solid QB and pair of WRs. The third was pretty good as well. I hope you do well in the PAC-12 this year, just need to figure out protection. What's your thought on your oline?

I hear ya - we shouldn't make excuses for mistakes, or say if or but. It's part of the game. Your kicker missed two FGs, ours missed one. It's part of the game. Colorado deserved to win, they took advantage of our mistakes, and that's not a given either.

State the whole fact, not a partial truth that shows a skewed view of the bigger picture. If wanting that makes me a snowflake, fine.

Fact: UNL has been very average since joining the BIG10. It makes people outside of Red Glasses country question the strength of the BIG8 / Big12. Win a meaningful game this century and then stop back otherwise no need to post on a Hawkeye board.

If you and Bones need to be so defensive about what Iowa fans think of your has been program then just don't come here uninvited. I've never been on Husker Doo.com or whatever your site is, and couldn't care less about your team until about the second week in November. Until then why don't you leave us in peace, and talk amongst yourselves, on how too fix your abundant issues.....

I have been on their board and it’s NOTHING but crying and excuses over there. “They would be 2-0 if Akron game wasn’t cancelled” ( still can’t figure out that logic) and “ Colorado #44 is dirty and should be suspended “. Multiple, multiple threads over there on those two topics. Nebraska fans are an even bigger $hit$how than the program has been for the past 20 years. I mean, they are completely deluded.

Don't worry about which boards I post on. I think being dishonest by omission in order to support your narrative should be called out, and I'll call it out when I see it.

Stop acting like Iowa is more than a .600 program under Ferentz. Pump the brakes on the tough guy talk.

Nothing dishonest about my post. Tough guy talking crap on a rivals board. Go talk crap on the Colorado board.

So your excuses are crappy players and a team that had no balls the last month of the season?

Got it!
