but caught this...before the game BTN had a camera in the Illinoise locker..Groce was giving his guys the cheerleader talk...and he ends it with "lets go have a great warmup"... what???

probably is a great guy & very dedicated & his guys play tough .. and yes he has had some guys hurt,,,but his system is broke IMO.

After today's loss to Nebraska, Groce now has a record
of 25 wins and 34 losses in Big Ten games. His seat
is getting very warm in his 4th year as head coach at
Illinois. With the talent available in that state, he should
be doing much better. Injuries are something every team
deals with.

He's never seemed to have gotten out of the mid-major "chuck a bunch of threes to slay the giant" mindset.

Let's hope both groce and pitino are retained by their respective schools. It's a help to Iowa having subpar coaching at their next door B1G competitors.

Is there a coach in the B1G that has done less with more talent than groce over the past few years?
