NCAA will allow up to 30 scholarships for men's and women's wrestling but there is no mandate to fund all 30. How many scholarships will Iowa and the completion have?

NIL deals will be subject to review to ensure that they are fair value and not pay to play. Will this level the playing field or tilt it more? Who wins and who loses? What happens to current deals?

Schools will now be paying athletes directly. As I understand it each school has some control over how to allocate the money. I know that the women's team at Iowa will not be paid but is the plan for some money go the men's team?

So much is still TBD. Not sure the coaches even have those answers yet

If every school has 30 scholarships, that’s going to make an even larger divide between the haves and have nots.

This is bound to trigger lawsuits unless they establish objective criteria for determining “fair value”.
Turns they think that will be the easy part. There are apparently very good tools that have been developed by the advertising industry that pretty objective. People will still sue because they are people.

Every school doesn't have 9.9. No way in hell they're going to have 30. Pretty sure Wisconsin - which has big ten money - is dropping scholarships.

But.. alas. You're not wrong. The haves and the have nots is going to be a HUGE divide.

I feel like the divide has been forever wide. Now it’s a train off the tracks and getting worse.

Wisconsin and Michigan st are both supposed to cut scholarships. And I heard Rutgers will add scholarships. The gap is gonna keep widening. I'm fearful that the big 10 expansion to Oregon,UCLA,USC and Washington will give schools like Michigan St an out to drop and say well not everyone in the conference has wrestling now.
