Sullivan may be better than anything they can get out of the portalCan he play QB? Next years team will go as far as their QB will take them. Brenden Sullivan is not the answer IMO
What you "would consider" doesn't matter as long as you have your current usernameBetween our personnel losses and upgrade in schedule, I would consider a 6-win season to be one of KF’s best coaching jobs.
Agree. Player and coach rosters are much more fluid nowadays. This also applies to all our opponents. Season W-L predictions 10 weeks prior to the season are tenuous at best. Predictions more than 10 months are rank speculation, basically worthless IMO.It’s really dumb to make any predictions about next year before we know who takes their extra Covid year (as a few of the OL could) and what happens in the portal.
Glad you're celebrating 2 straight Hawkeye wins and your financial windfall by taking unprovoked, feeble shots at me at midnight. You are a petty little "man."What you "would consider" doesn't matter as long as you have your current username
What was wrong with Sullivan ? When he was allowed to run and play to his strengths Iowa looked great.
When you have no depth and tell a runner they can’t run they become tentative. That leads to injuries and paralysis by analysis.
2-3 qbs in the system that can do what Sullivan does and you’ll be alright.
I think he will help as a third down back who can be effective as a runner or a receiver. I hear the coaches like him.Where does Brevin Doll fit in?
FWIW I moved him to slot WR in College Football 25 and he led the team to the CFP.Where does Brevin Doll fit in?
Imagine what kind of man I guess you to be.Glad you're celebrating 2 straight Hawkeye wins and your financial windfall by taking unprovoked, feeble shots at me at midnight. You are a petty little "man."
I liked what I saw in Sullivan except for the bravado. I think that is what cost his season vs UCLA.What was wrong with Sullivan ? When he was allowed to run and play to his strengths Iowa looked great.

He’ll be the third rb assuming everyone but kj comes back. Kid is a freak and i’ve also heard the coaches really like him.I think he will help as a third down back who can be effective as a runner or a receiver. I hear the coaches like him.
And maybe he isn't.Sullivan may be better than anything they can get out of the portal
I think you just have a soft and brittle spirit if a username offends youImagine what kind of man I guess you to be.
The shot is not unprovoked. Your username and most of your posts are offensive to me.
You can post what you wish, I suppose. But if you want to be taken seriously, you have to lose the username. Otherwise, every post is just a reflection of the username.
You're the one who chose it. I'm guessing you knew darn well that not everyone would care for it. And certainly, the same is true with many of your posts. It is what it is
Our elite defense wasn't. Offense got better, defense got worse.Next year will validate the kirk haters here. Most people see the writing on the wall. Kirk had a returning elite defense and a cake walk schedule and couldn't muster wins over 3 terrible teams (yes ISU is terrible, the whole big 12 is terrible). Alot of people see 6 wins next year. I see it worse than that. Unless we somehow have 30 million dollars stashed away I think next year will be Kirk's worst year at Iowa aside from the beginning. This whole thing is playing out so similarly to Haydens departure it's sickening. Ferentz has done so much for us but the game has passed him by. His stubbornness has the potential to run our program into the ground. Next year's schedule sets us up for that.
That's true, but we know for sure that most of the production on both sides of the ball will be leaving and Iowa is again wondering who will be playing the most important position in all of sports. It's also not dumb to expect the defense, which often carries the team, to take a significant step back with it's greatest roster turnover in many years. It’s really dumb to make any predictions about next year before we know who takes their extra Covid year (as a few of the OL could) and what happens in the portal.
Correct.Between our personnel losses and upgrade in schedule, I would consider a 6-win season to be one of KF’s best coaching jobs.
That's what this is about? You're triggered over my username? LOL. What a whiny little bitch.Imagine what kind of man I guess you to be.

Might be our next return guy as well....I think he will help as a third down back who can be effective as a runner or a receiver. I hear the coaches like him.
You might update your little avatar. You do know that Brian was fired and no longer works for Iowa? That's what this is about? You're triggered over my username? LOL. What a whiny little bitch.
All I did was give my opinion about next season's record, and actually said I'd give props to KF for scratching out a .500 record in what will be a difficult season. What's wrong with that? Why do you hate KF?
Being told by you that I'm not taken seriously on this board is the funniest thing I've read in a while, coming from the board's sanctimonious homer.
Okay that one I don't understand. So we have 6 starters decide to return on one of our best defenses EVER and your take is the young guys weren't "good enough". How do we make that assumption? I could see that maybe with Schulte, but no body else. I think we have some guys at safety who will be good, they just need to play more. Heck it's possible we see Harrell and Sharer be just like Jay Higgens after being three year understudies. I'm not writing off the defense at this point......Well, considering how very few of the underclassmen were good enough to play on defense this year and how many they graduate from the defense....it could be a really long season next year. I'm not sure much NIL money will be spent on the defense either considering how much they need to do on offense.
I like a mobile QB - just not a RB for a QB. I was hoping Sullivan would be like Beathard - where he ran when a pass play broke down. Instead Sullivan looked to run first and pass second on called pass plays. What was wrong with Sullivan ? When he was allowed to run and play to his strengths Iowa looked great.

If you want to move forward and appreciate your accomplishments, you have to remember who you were. Think of it as a memorial for the players and fans who suffered through the dark years. You might update your little avatar. You do know that Brian was fired and no longer works for Iowa?
Other posters who have been around awhile can correct me if I’m wrong but Ferentz never promises starts or playing time to any recruit. If there is one aspect that Kirk has made religious it is that all positions and playing time is earned, not given.Next year is not a lost year, but Iowa should use it to bring in young transfers from the portal. Target one of the 5* kids from OSU that will leave at QB either Noland or Sayin, offer them early PT.
Next season has 1998 written all over it.Next year is probably another 8 or 9 win season. Every year, Internet experts predict a terrible season, they are wrong repeatedly. We are what we are.
Do you say that about the fans who bring up the '60s-'70s?If you want to move forward and appreciate your accomplishments, you have to remember who you were. Think of it as a memorial for the players and fans who suffered through the dark years.
I'm not disagreeing, this is just my opinion obviously. They need to do some outside of the box thinking for the next approach.Other posters who have been around awhile can correct me if I’m wrong but Ferentz never promises starts or playing time to any recruit. If there is one aspect that Kirk has made religious it is that all positions and playing time is earned, not given.
Transfers will be told that they will compete for playing time, that’s about it.
I have often disagreed with his game day personnel and usage decisions but AFAICT, he has not wavered in his approach since taking an over.
Actually, I'll made a mod on this, do you think they didn't offer Cade immediate PT?Other posters who have been around awhile can correct me if I’m wrong but Ferentz never promises starts or playing time to any recruit.
