I just want to make sure I am following here...we are arguing about a BASKETBALL coach from 25 years ago on the FOOTBALL board...and using what happened in a sport with zero correlations to football as the decision making process here? And what recruiting class are you referring to? There was no recruiting Dr Tom’s final season because he was a lame duck. Seems like you’re just making things up to suit your narrative.

You are right about recruiting. Dr. Davis stopped as soon as the morons didn't retain him.

Dr. Davis won 7 in NCAA in six quals in the 90s. The program has won 6 in the twenty five years since. Yeah, I think we were far ahead as a program with a national profile and an annual expectation of qualifying.

1) Dr. Tom could coach
2) Dr. Tom couldn’t recruit well enough

As for Doll I'd say he has a great opportunity to contribute as a returner if Wetjen leaves.
