Nick Henrich commits to Nebraska

So many points to make in so little time.
3) You guys have been ass pounded since you came to the B1G because of your lack of physicality. This didn't start with Riley. Bo's little-black-dress defense gave up 70 in the ONE BiG championship you have played in. And the common theme I see in this thread is "Iowa only beat NU when we had a crappy coach." Partially true. Iowa didn't have much success historically against NU. Saint Tom did lose here in 81. But it is laughable who you think were crappy coaches. Solich-.750 winning record. Callahan-OK, crappy coach. Who chased Solich away and replaced him with that turd? Pelini-.700 record and 100% an asshat. Who hired him then fired him? You guys have been unsuccessfully looking for Bear Bryant since Osborne retired.
Which brings me to my point: since NU has been irrelevant in the B1G due to their lack of toughness, how do you think a guy who hides in a closet while a teammate beats the shit out of his girlfriend is going to be the one to instill that?
And one last thing-is coming to another team's message board to gloat over winning a 3* hometown LB a sign of a fanbase that is secure in their knowledge they are on solid ground?

I'll be waiting for your response. Not

Oh I don't know...maybe we will be much tougher because we hired the National Coach of the year for Strength Training Zach Duval...there is that!

Oh I don't know...maybe we will be much tougher because we hired the National Coach of the year for Strength Training Zach Duval...there is that!

Again, nothing about Big Dick Scottie peeing himself in the closet and OBTW, Iowa has a guy that has been recognized as one of the premier S&C coaches in the country for 15 years. He has contributed greatly to the recent beatdowns of your little black dress defenses.

I've seen the kid play. He's not very good. We dodged a collective bullet there. Chill. Thank God we didn't waste a scholarship there! White and slow. And yes, I'm a racist.

Really sad to see how misguided and confused some of our youth are today. I guess some are just to blind to see the light. He would have been a surefire NFL top draft pick going through our program, now his future is in peril. We didn't need him anyway. We backed off him cuz he's really not that good.

Hhahahahahahahahahahahahaha, oh my god dude. This is terribly sad. How old are you? What an absolutely embarrassing post. Step off the ledge bud.

So you point me to fans reactions to the game? Luckily it is not the fans that were strapping it up and playing in that game. You IGNORE the quotes from the actual Auburn PLAYERS the ones playing in the game. WGAF what the Aubby fans reactions were, they were not the ones playing in the game.

Love your logic, probably why your middling coach keeps getting raises each year and gets a bonus if he wins 7 whole games.

Here is an actual quote from Aubbys star running back on whether or not they were not motivated for the game:

Running back Kerryon Johnson bristled in the postgame locker room about a lack of enthusiasm being a reason for arguably the season's most disappointing loss.

“Just like every game this year, every game Auburn plays, every game I play in, every game Malzahn coaches in, it’ll be the same mentality — outside talk is just that, outside talk,” Johnson said. “To those who thought we weren’t motivated, you’re not in our locker room, you’re not in our practices, you’re not in our meeting rooms. Obviously they don’t know what is going on. We were plenty motivated to get this win. (We) just literally shot ourselves in the foot.”

This quote is in addition to all of the Aubby players quotes leading up to the game. LOL
They were not playing some middling 3-4 loss non P 5 team, they were playing a team that was upset they were getting no respect.

Try again.
Yoy try again, while everyone else is playing Notre Dame, Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State. Auburn got stuck with Central Florida. And I already told you. NO COACH OR PLAYER IS GOING TO PUBLICLY SAY THEY ARE NOT INTERESTED IN PLAYING AGAINST THEM.

Slow white guy from a low populated state. It is kinda funny that the mighty program comes to an obscure board to pump their chests over a lightly recruited 3 star recruit. Iowa got lucky. He's not very good. What has Nebraska become?

Hhahahahahahahahahahahahaha, oh my god dude. This is terribly sad. How old are you? What an absolutely embarrassing post. Step off the ledge bud.

Your gif/avatar. That turned out being a pretty good thing for at least one season as it regards Iowa football.

That's the way you spell Entertained in Iowa?
Very intelligent post that I am sure a lot of people respect east of the Missouri River. You lost me at Intertained though.

Lol the spellchecker hall monitor dbag shows up only when they got nothing. Typing on an Iphone at 3 am in bed I'm not worried at all about spelling when responding to the uneducated masses of the state of Nebraska. Nice comeback tho cornholer.

Let’s get something straight, we ain’t playing with Mr. Potato Head anymore. Big dick Scott will take a piece of Kirk’s ass if he wants it.

The days of you playing the school of the blind led by Mike Riley are over.

Prove it. Mike Riley “out recruited” Kirk and IOWA still slapped him around on the field.

Frost’s D’s have looked softer than a cake donut in every game I’ve watched.

Again, Prove it.

We will prove it on the field. 18 will be a transition year including freshmen QBs and a tough schedule. 19 will be the year.

Riley could not strategize, motivate or develop. The AD forced the hire. Kirk is a good developer of talent, but has no personality to recruit very well. Frost can do both (3rd best class in BT this year done mostly in a month). The D is an aggressive D, but held Auburn under the season average when it mattered. We will need to outscore people, especially at first.

There have been times Oklahoma, Ohio State, USC, Bama, etc have declined and come back. We will be among the next.

So you responded by telling me what happened awhile ago. Why is it Iowa's fault they beat you with a bad coach? They can't say "oh, sorry you have a bad coach. We will forego our game this year." Like it or not, those seasons with a bad coach do exist in the record books. FYI, we didn't have great teams when you went 3-1. We got beat. See what that was? Did you see it? It wasn't an excuse. We lost to a better team those years. You all should try humility some time.
Nah, Nebraska is a better program, better state, better resources and better fans.

My point was to say if we have a decent coach we beat you guys. You are 1-3 vs Bo. Proves my theory using facts.

When we have a crappy coach you guys got the best of us. Proves my theory.

When we have great coaching we beat you guys silly. See any of our match ups pre us joining the B1G. Proves my theory.

So therefore the question of, where does Frost fall on the spectrum of coaching? That question will tell you how the next year's are going to go.

I believe he is right now at the higher end of the spectrum. He flipped ucf and did a great job at Oregon. He also has been groomed for this...

I know there are a lot of big words in there. So, I'll give you time to look them.

I think you guys are going back to your spot as little brother and it is happening sooner than later.

Serious question: Why can’t Neb compete with Iowa anymore? I’m not saying that Neb has to beat Iowa but why can’t they lose closely to us anymore?

Is Iowa really that much superior?

Scott Flop is definitely not the answer. I love the hire as a Hawkeye fan & hope they hold on to him for a long long time!

It's not that hard. I would argue the talent level was pretty equal the last three years but Iowa had a lot better coaching staff and it clearly showed in the results.

I'm glad you love the Frost hire, we'll see how you feel in a couple of years.

Lightly recruited? You might want to check his offer list before you spout off.

As with any recruit, I'll believe in them once they start playing, whether Iowa gets him (or anybody else does for that matter), or not.

The kid chose to go elsewhere. It happens. So...yawn.

To summarize this 6 page thread:
A 3* LB recruit from Omaha, NE committed to the Huskers. Yes, he was an early target by the Iowa coaches. It was a recruiting victory for the Huskers.
No less than a dozen Husker fans were so exhilirated by the news they felt compelled to go to another team's message board to gloat and tout this is evidence that Nebraska is returning to its glory run of the mid 90s.
One of said Bugeater fans held out forever to have a Hawk fan acknowledge Frost is a better coach than Pelini, and because Pelini was 3-1 against Iowa, that is sure evidence that a guy who has never coached a game there is going to dominate Iowa and the B1G.
Meanwhile, not ONE of said Bugeaters has had a word to say about the 1995 incident wherein their new "big-dick" coach (not my words, actually quoting what one of them said) showed himself to be a colossal pussy who was afraid to put himself in harm's way to protect a girl who was being savagely beaten by one of his teammates. Silence. Crickets. Just like they are dead silent about the entire 10-year period where Osborne brought in less-talented versions of the Miami thug machine.
Pretty much sums it up.

Banner Headline in Nebraska media: CORNHOLER FANS CELEBRATE FOOTBALL RECRUITING VICTORY OVER IOWA!

Nowledge U. eager to erase last three ass-kickings by Iowa (continued on page 3).

3-Star Omaha prospect chooses Nebraska over Iowa. Local football experts predict a return to 1997.

So, which words were the big ones? Spectrum? Groomed? I know those are big words in Nebraska but that is not the point. Also, you had a grammatical error which I really don't care about either.

Better resources- maybe. Better state- goodness no. Better fans- more loyal yes, absolutely... adjusted or willing to observe perspectives out of the state- no.

Thanks for acknowledging Iowa's previous victories over the Nebraska football team.

As for Scott Frost, you could be right. He could be a good coach but the guy has a grand total of 26 games as a HC. He's a players coach which is what works in college. But why put the cart in front of the horse? You guys are already adding pressure on the guy. What if he hasn't taken you to a Big Ten Title game in 3 years? Do you stick with him? What if you dump him and then he ends up being great because of unreasonable expectations?

My point, I guess, is this... Why are you even having this conversation with me or anyone on an Iowa message board? Are you that concerned what we think? Are you so worried that "little brother" is pounding their chest over beating Nebraska that you have to come over to ruin their days after a 3* LB commits to Nebraska? Why do you all have to be this way all the time? If you see me meandering on the Nebraska website spouting off the crap that you guys do and acting as "holier than thou"- by all means let me have it. It's the lack of perspective and lack of respect to other programs that are "inferior" despite being almost identical to you in the last 10 years that perplexes and aggravates me.

This is no longer worth my time and probably wasn't to begin with. I fell for your troll trap so congrats. I won't respond again.

NFL Draft results show that the talent clearly has not been equal the last several years. Nebraska’s recruits might have been seen as more “talented” coming out of high school, but they certainly weren’t by the time your previous staff was done with them.

And thus you prove my point, the previous staff was worthless at development.

Nebraska fans went to the Auburn message boards before the Peach Bowl to talk shit on behalf of UCF fans. That's all you need to know right there about who you are dealing with.

Is it UCF's defense or Nebraska's defense that is being talked about here? Sounds like you should go cheer for UCF and not the pink skirts.

Let's see , he would have been a surefire NFL top draft pick but he's really not that good. ?? Whatever makes you feel better. Just saying--Nebraska plus top coaching spells trouble for Iowa. Always used to and will again.
Once again living in the past. Lol

I think you guys are going back to your spot as little brother and it is happening sooner than later.

Yes, of course, the facts led you to conclude Nebraska is superior in everything.

No one knows for sure how Scott Frost will do at Nebraska, but what we do know for sure is that Scott Frost is one in a line of many coaches at Nebraska this century Nebraska fans were thoroughly convinced was the savior of Nebraska football. So this poppin' off at the mouth from Nebraska fans about their latest and greatest coaching hire before a snap of football has been played is nothing new. Furthermore, if there was ever a question that Nebraska has the most delusional fan base in the country, this thread without question relinquished all doubt. I will say, however, the literacy has improved substantially in this thread from what we've observed from Husker fans in the past, so kudos for that.

With that said, though, lol, it appears the use of circular reasoning and selective facts to arrive at unmerited conclusions by Nebraska fans remain the same. The fact you write such puerile phrases like "when we have a crappy coach..." as a means of providing factual information to prove your theory (I'm assuming that's the one about how Nebraska rules and Iowa drools) tells me all I need to know about your age and intellectual acumen. The fact you expressed a belief that you had used "big words" while constructing the inane drivel you mistakenly view as coherent thought confirms what is already widely known: many Nebraska fans are as arrogant as they are stupid. You certainly fit that mold.

Oh, btw, that whole bit about "we beat you guys silly" with decent and/or great coaching? Yeeeeeah, you kind of omitted a couple key facts. You know, like how bad Iowa was when Kirk Ferentz first took over. Oh, and if Frank Solich was such a great coach, why did Nebraska fire him? Regardless, lol, Nebraska beating Iowa at the turn of the century was not the resut of "great coaching." Iowa sucked, plain and simple. And Nebraska was enjoying their last hoorah before the empire began to crumble. Coaching had nothing to do with them beating Iowa.

Similar deal with the Pelini years. Iowa was in a state of mediocrity during that time frame. In fact, the year Nebraska actually made it to the conference championship before getting their asses handed to them they beat a 4-8 Iowa team by like 6. So this whole theory of yours that Nebraska coaching is the common denominator is ridiculous. It's like if an Iowa fan were to point to the scoreboard vs Nebraska the past two years as evidence of a potent Iowa offense. Uh, no, Nebraska's defense was just that bad.

Yeah, and that graphic is as funny as it is ridiculous. Ask Michigan fans how their native son, with all that grooming lol he got at Stanford and in the NFL, is working for them. Lol, it ain't that easy, kid.

In short, you nor anyone else has a clue how Scott Frost will do at Nebraska. Of course, you guys have been wrong about every coach before him, so stands to reason your batting average is bound to improve at some point. Time will tell.

PS -- You and most of the Nebraska fans who troll here are still idiots. In case that wasn't clear. :)

No one should be surprised by that anymore than Auburn not giving a rip about playing UCF after losing out on the CFP.

GTFO and stay there until, you know, don't get prison sexed by over 40.....lil bro.

Iowa was 1-3 against Nebraska when Bo was the head coach. Who I would say was a decent coach.

We have the coach of the year.

You are going back to little brother status very fast.

Hypotheticals are a way of life in husker land. It's always woulda shoulda coulda with you clowns.

Nebraska fan = pathetic. End of discussion.

Their mere presence here in July tells you all you need to know about their psyches. It's pretty insane when you think about how desperate their need for validation is.

I don't care what anyone else thinks. With rare exception, Iowa State fans are by far and away more logical and intelligent than most of the inbred degenerative Husker fans flocking to this board. Seriously. If only there was a way to implement an IQ and literacy test before someone was allowed to post here. We'd eliminate 99.9% percent of Husker fans on this board.
