Will be nice to have a home game in front of tens and tens of fans.
This is the first year since Lickliter's last that I have been ready for a season to end without a postseason. I am always one for more games, but not this year.. The page needs to be turned and without further delay!
The loss in NIT vs UTAH last year wasn't a lot of fun to watch and the Utah coach got fired this year. Most interesting thing about Post season is who transfers out and Fran's status.

The Crown in Vegas, not the NIT. That's if Iowa has seven scholarship players which is a requirement for The Crown.

JFC. Iowa is not going to be in the top 2 in the B1G in NET among teams not in the NCAA Tournament, even if they get 10 teams in (I think they’ll get 9). The NIT will be the leftover garbage, possibly Iowa.
The CBC is made up of the B1G, Big 12, and Big East. A 16 team tournament with six automatic qualifiers and 10 at large. The top two in net from each conference will be AQs. Iowa was projected as a two seed (8th overall, but an at large) before the BTT.
The NIT has contracted two AQs from the SEC and ACC, then one AQ from the twelve other conferences. So a B1G team could possibly end up in the NIT.
A B1G, Big 12, or Big East team may not elect to play in the NIT over the CBC, if selected for both tournaments.
Time to hang up the sneekers for the season. I think I'd rather get a root canal than watch another game this year. That said, Payton, thank you for a memorable effort yesterday.
Anything but the Big Dance doesn't excite me. However, if the players on the team want to play more basketball, more power to them. They played hard at the end of the season, so they are deserving of more playing time if invited. No one is forced to watch, and it probably won't be exciting for the fans.
Collins (Northwestern) said he would, hopefully Fran will follow suit. Both programs had a tough season, no need to prolong things…
