Who gives a crap about the ethnicity of wrestlers? We just need guys who can scrap.

So UNC...From Tony Hager
Jason Renteria's top schools are Illinois, UNC, Nebraska, Mizzou and PSU.
I don't think that's how it went down. Marinelli didn't have a top 5 after decomitting from Ohio st. It was Iowa and Iowa. He wasn't pushed, he was pulledreally like this kid, i'm speechless. guess that's how we got maranelli.
PSU? We must have really pissed him off?
Thank you.
Don't care and it shouldn't and doesn't matter.
It's about the character of the person. Stop making it about race

If he promises beforehand he won't wrestle 57kg in 2020.So UNC...
Didn't this kid have trouble making varsity at his high school last year? Should tell us something.
Tough high school
Maybe so. But on a scale of 1-10 its about a .5 for things that really matter (or so I would hope). Should be right up there with "do I like the school mascot" in order of importance of where do I want to go to college to wrestle in 2016.It may not matter to you or me, but it almost certianly matters to other young Latino wrestlers. Having a guy like Tony was no doubt a big draw for some hispanic kids and not having him around could very well influence kids' decisions. I'm not saying that's why Rentaria or Mejia decommitted, I expect it was more influenced by scholly $$, but it certianly could have been one factor in their decisions.
We still have Perez Perez!
Truth.
But were talking about a whole other level at Iowa.
Sure, but it was Madrigal at 126 and Gabe Townsell at 132. Madrigal lost to Gomez by a point in the finals and JRent made the cut to 120 and won the title at 120. Most likely, he will be wrestling 132 next year.
