That's weird. I saw my first one (it was actually 2 in the same day) when I lived in Arizona in the 90's. Hadn't even moved up to Iowa yet. I've seen 3 or 4 since living in Iowa.

All those midwesterners living in tornado country on here who said they couldn’t vote for Harris or Trump because they both sucked…can get f*cked. Having a viable weather service is absolutely something we should count on our government for. It is life saving in so many ways.
