Gavin Williams 6 yards per carry average in the Citrus Bowl is a good start for improved OL after bowl prep practices….
Have to think Iowa knew Black and Patton were "tag alongs" to Kohl, given they seem pretty tight. Once Patton transferred to Ankeny, Iowa coaches knew where he was going. Hence... they never pulled the offer, but probably pursued other options harder.
Never worry about the defense with PP in charge.
By the time those kids see the field, Matty's losing streak to Iowa will probably be 8/9 games.

Yeah, I believe so, unless they have some silent commits but I don't think that is the case. They are still targeting DBs Tate, Patton, Mascoe and Tobe so I would assume they want two more DBs.
I think the Patton, Black, Kohl friendship pretty much sealed the deal for ISU.
With Snowden going elsewhere, I think the Jenkins twins become a priority. Caden Jenkins has really started to blow up, and his brother is no slouch either. If Iowa could grab those two and Tate, it would be another great DB class.
The twins aren't visiting anymore. It appears Tate, Mascoe and Tobe are the top 3 as of now.
If I had to guess, if Iowa gets two of the three DBs that are visiting, they are done because they already have Hall and Nestor.
They are visiting, just later. Iowa is starting to get a lot of buzz with them as of late.
We will see. My money is on they never schedule another visit to Iowa. And I think if Iowa gets two more DB commits, that they 100% won't be visiting Iowa.
If they get two of the three kids that are visiting that would make 5. Lutmer, Hall, Nestor are already 3. Although, Hall could end up being a LB.
Hall is being recruited as an LB that could slide back. They only have two DB’s with Lutmer and Nestor.

It'd be Rocco Becht or maybe the walk on Glantz.
We'll never know all the reasons for kids decisions, but I suspect the depth chart at both schools played into where they committed.
ISU lost a ton of guys in the portal this past season, so the defensive backfield was seemingly pretty thin. Faster progression to make the two deeps?
Rumor was Patton didn't want to compete with Nwankpa and Entringer at safety.
Can't say the same for Black - Iowa has a need and the ability to play early at TE.
So the former QB from KU is actually a basketball player? Probably makes isu’s offense scary good and now they will consistently score over 50 points per game.
Wouldn’t worry yet. Last year at this time the class was really depressing and it turned out just fine.

I would anticipate he plays very little for the basketball team. I think he just needed a change of scenery and I hope he gets what he's looking for at ISU.
I think Black was more important. High ceiling and a position that's a struggle for us.
I think ISU really changed their in-State approach for 2023 once Ferentz locked down pretty much the entire in State class for 2024.
They had to be able to make a claim, any claim, that the fightin Mattys weren't totally irrelevant to Iowa high schoolers.
