If that was Iowa with Perkins elevating to get off the last shot and ISU put a hand on his hip like that, this board would come unglued if the officials did not call that a foul. No doubt about it.

Technically being a foul and being a bad call are not mutually exclusive.

By the 39 minute mark everyone ( the players, the refs, the crowd, and the tv viewers) had an understanding of how this game was being played. Everyone knew what has being called, what wasn't; what you could do, what you couldn't.

The officials violated that understanding.

Well yes, obviously. That’s what fans do. I’m sure SDSU fans loved the call. Doesn’t mean it’s the right call in that situation.

Officials are suppose to call it consistently all game long and call it correctly. I only saw the last 7 seconds of the game. Apparently, they are being accused of not calling it correctly all game long until the last 2 seconds. That was a motion/shooting inhibiting foul regardless of what was called previously.

See post #645 above by Lindemann. I agree with him, what happened previously throughout the game matters.

I agree with you that in a bubble it’s a foul, but that type of contact hadn’t really been called all game.

1) Blue Blood program
2) Located in Omaha—hotbed for Division 1 talent
3) Crappy school—easy to get “marginal” students in
4) What out-of-state blue chipper wouldn’t want to be just across the river from CB?

What else am I missing?
Crappy school? Easy to get marginal students in? lol You obviously know nothing about Creighton academics.

Miami just got an incredible behind the blackboard shot waved off, cause I guess that isn't legal to shoot over the backboard.

Which is dumb, if the ball doesn't touch anything. Should change that rule.

I'd come unglued if Iowa committed that "Foul" in that moment.

I'd come unglued if Iowa was "fouled" in that moment and it wasn't called.

Pretty weak foul, when you consider what contact is being allowed in the NCAA. By the rules, would PROBABLY be a foul.
I understand completely. As a 3rd party observer it's a foul and I'd lose it if that was Iowa. No lie.

Jay Wright agrees.
Amazing fans always blame officiating. How about 2-17 from three line. Officials may have missed some calls in the game. It is impossible not to. They did not miss that one. It was a foul and correctly called

Everyone is an expert. Everyone of you critical of the officials would shit your pants in that situation. Pretty soon it will be impossible to get anyone to officiate college games. It is already that way for high school sports because of asshole fans.

The tournament, more than previous tournaments, makes me think that maybe someone does have a bit of a finger on the scales.
Did that finger make Creighton shoot 2-17 from 3line? They make 3-17 and they win, but by all means, blame the officiating. It’s the American way

Not only is SDSU taking the Wisky foul repeatedly because they can't call 'em all approach on D....but much like the Badgers, they're consummate flop artists when THEY have the ball. Whole team must have been professional soccer players in another life.

sDSU shot 6 free throws the entire game. Appears the refs favored them. (Sarcasm) Creighton lost because they shot poorly. Period

That's wasn't an offensive foul. Stop ruining the game refs. Damn.

I'm sure the ISU trolls will be by soon to explain why the b12 wasn't overrated like we were saying all season?

No? Ok, nevermind I guess

Good thing many of you do not officiate. That was clearly a foul. Creighton player messed up.
I think all anyone (not to speak for everyone and just for myself) wants is consistency. I wasn’t able to watch the game but it sounds like this sort of thing wasn’t called all day and then it gets called at that point.
Yes, if it’s a foul it’s a foul and call it but the refs evidently made it the case they didn’t consider it a foul all day.
Just be consistent. Bad, good, or otherwise.

As a BIG 12 guy, I was happy Texas lost. Very happy!

Torn on K State. Nice to see FAU move on, but have no issues with K State.

No Blue Bloods in Final Four is a good thing. Not sure if UConn is approaching Blue Blood status???
