***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

Still.....another good game by Clark. 17 points, 13 assists, 6 rebounds and 4 steals. The loss is in no way on her.
It wasn’t but I agree with @EvilMonkeyInTheCloset about her mindset. She had the ball in her hands the entire 2nd half and got way too passive. Smith got absolutely owned by Angel. She had her way with her. Smith is soft for how big she is. Angel took over the game.

good question and I was thinking the same thing?
Probably this...Teresa Weatherspoon (Chicago) and Christie Sides (Indiana). Before she became Fever’s Head Coach, Sides was an assistant at ULM. Both played under former Techsters coach and Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, Leon Barmore

On that last play, CC dribbled to the right (up high), gave it to Boston who then gave it back to CC, Boston did not set a screen at all and instead rolled to her left. That created a double-team on CC. Mitchell and Wallace were in the corners. CC had no choice but to get the ball back to Boston for a really bad shot.

CC ended up with "just" 13 assists. The WNBA record for assists is 18.

There are 4 missed out on assists in just this short video:

The last one to Mitchell wasn't likely to be an assist as the Sky had defenders back, but that video doesn't include the sweet pass over the top to butter fingers Mitchell. More important than scoring on long three's, CC's vision and passing are the greatest thing about her game. Her talent is truly wasted on this roster and coach.

Yep, poorly designed play which almost guaranteed that CC would be trapped.

Get Clark with the ball at the top of the key, spread the floor and let her go to work.

In order to try to keep the doubles off of her, the coach needs to teach players to set good hard (not moving) screens. Boston didn't even make the attempt to set one on the last play. What did Sides "draw up?"

Well she slopped in a 3 so let’s see if she ca again. Ridiculously poor coaching.

When Iowa players struggled to catch CC's passes and finish/make lay ups, we were told it would not be nearly as big an issue in the WNBA.

We were told wrong.

There were tons of missed lay ups for both teams.

A play that did not have the a “spread 4” with CC dribble attacking from the top of the arc. If double teamed or the D collapses, she dishes. If not she picks her medicine with a step back, stop and pop, driving lay up, or possibly draws a foul.
