But according to Taurasi, it's going to take a long time for Caitlin to be able to play in this league and have any success.

I guess I would be surprised, at this point, if they took her. With that being said, I think they should, since from what I've read there isn't a point guard in waiting to take over. It would be good to get her feet wet while there are still some some crusty vets are in front of her for PT.makes me wonder if CC is building momentum where they can't leave her off the Olympic team....
we'll see; unfortunately, there might be some politics in it....
The Sparks had multiple players out, and had to go deep in their bench..every game there seems to be a ton of missed layups & fumbled passes where the turnover gets assigned to CC
Last night CC played 34 minutes; I don't think the head coach has much of a clue on player rotations
I see that 30 year old Dearica Hamby (the Sparks 6'3 forward) played all 40 minutes
What? You serious? It may take a year , and some roster shuffling, but Clark WILL be the star in this league, and there is zero doubt about it. With all the roster issues, and tremendous pressure she's till putting up numbers like Only one or two players in the leagues history. Wait till she settles in after actually having an off season. I'd also contend that CC does not have the temperment to be a coach, in the same way that Michael did not..If this doesn't get better, she won't stay in the WNBA for long.
She will get into coaching.

She was 3rd overall. She used her Covid year and played 5 seasons though. She actually did what Sheryl Swoops accused CC of doing. So according to Swoopes, she should have an asterisk by her name.Too lazy to look, isn't she like the 2nd leading scorer in NCAA WBB history? Also, she is 5'5" which is probably why she was drafted so late and then cut.
Sides doesn’t say shit to the refs. She doesn’t even use her challenges most of the time. AB and CC are getting hacked and she just sits there on her haunches. Even AB was bitching to the refs since Sides won’t stick up for her team.Sides isn't wrong.
And I don't run the Derby with a plow horse.I've always say "you don't hitch a wagon to a racehorse" and then I remember the trotters.....
I feel bad for Boston. She's a marked player, she moves it's a foul on her.Sides doesn’t say shit to the refs. She doesn’t even use her challenges most of the time. Is Sides going to make it through the weekend? 1-10 after Sunday is looming.

Of all the bad takes this might be the worst one ever. We get it, you hate the W. That’s fine but Clark is a player. She’s not quitting anything. So ridiculous. If this doesn't get better, she won't stay in the WNBA for long.
She will get into coaching.
Sides is already on the mount Rushmore of worst coaches I've ever seen
See my post a few posts above. CC's game has been a mixed bag. It doesn't feel particularly good. Clark has 7 TOs and the Sparks probably hit a three pointer after three or four of the TOs.
Not a fan of Mitchell. Plays fast but doesn’t see the court well for a guard. Doesn’t do enough of the other things to offset her streaky shooting.
yes that was indeed horrible. Her worst crime was 4 missed layups to start the game
No….huge defensive lability, an average rebounder at best and quite frankly doesn’t get up the court any faster than the players she currently is playing with.I still think the Fever need to give Monika Czinano a call. Can you imagine the Law Firm back together again?
It’s going to suck to have fangbele out for a few weeks.No….huge defensive lability, an average rebounder at best and quite frankly doesn’t get up the court any faster than the players she currently is playing with.
All last year we had people in the threads complaining about not having a big like Monica and all year long I pointed out this team is better without her.
Not the same concept, but there is no way in hell she’s gonna get up the court any quicker than Fangbele.
Clark's like wtf
Anyone who thinks they aren't trying extra hard to shut cc down aren't too bright
It’s going to have fangbele out for a few weeks.
3rd, she passed Mitchell by 1 point I believe. saw some social media comments complaining they couldn’t cut Martin because of the CC/Iowa connection 🤣 couldn’t possibly be because Kate is just a better overall player
a light bump/touch on a layup might though. It is insane to me how inconsistent refs have been when I’ve watched. I’m generally okay with some contact, as I think too quick of a whistle just slows the game down. But on one trip down the lightest contact gets the whistle, and on the next full contact doesn’t.
Yea, her 6pts per game lower average makes for ALOT of points over 153 games.Yep, Dyaisha Fair played in 153 total games and ended up with 1 more point than Kelsey Mitchell.
Here's the Current NCAA Scoring List:
PLAYER TEAM LAST SEASON GAMES PLAYED POINTS Caitlin Clark IOWA 2024 139 (28.424 ppg) 3,951 Kelsey Plum Washington 2017 139 (25.4 ppg) 3,527 Dyaisha Fair Syracuse 2024 153 (22.2 ppg) 3,403 Kelsey Mitchell Ohio State 2018 139 (24.5 ppg) 3,402 Jackie Stiles Missouri State 2001 129 (26.3 ppg) 3,393 Brittney Griner Baylor 2013 148 (22.2 ppg) 3,283 Patricia Hoskins Mississippi Valley State 1989 110 (28.382 ppg) 3,122 Lorri Bauman Drake 1984 120 (26.0 ppg) 3,115 Jerica Coley FIU 2014 131 (23.7 ppg) 3,107 Rachel Banham Minnesota 2016 144 (21.5 ppg) 3,093 Ashley Joens Iowa State 2023 158 (19.4 ppg) 3,060
Only been done three times in the history of the W, and yet she gets picked apart for that line? Such is the expectation for CC.....30, 5, 6, 3 & 3 isn’t a good line, even with the TOs?
Yea, her 6pts per game lower average makes for ALOT of points over 153 games.
I swear to god these refs are determined to keep this sh!t league lost in obscurity. It would be one thing if they simply weren’t giving the future stars the benefit on some of these calls. But they appear to be doing everything in their power to saddle Aliyah, T-up Caitlin, etc., etc.I feel bad for Boston. She's a marked player, she moves it's a foul on her.

Nice sequence on NBATV: Martin swishes her second straight 3, Gustafson finger roll for two next trip down.
