***Official Caitlin/Fever/Kate/Meg Games Mega Thread***

The Wings are no joke, especially at home. The Fever struggled to contain the Wings' offense the first time, and now they have Sabally back (she scored 28 tonight). The Fever go to Dallas again next Sunday.

A'ja Wilson's 42 points is especially impressive considering she only took 22 shots and made no threes.

As a team the Aces have been shooting colder than normal lately, and kinda vulnerable. Would be nice if they all don't get their mojo back before playing Indiana again.

I blame the benching of Martin, who was getting decent playing time until her injury/Olympic break. Wonder what Hammond is thinking there.

Remember way earlier in the season when Caitlin was getting to the rim and having her sh!t thrown back at her?

Everyone was freaking out and saying she had no business going to the rack. WELL, I KNEW she would be 5.2 % more efficient than the next rookie late in the season!

But seriously, I did think it was a little bit of an overreaction. At least let the girl get her feet wet a little.

Dallas (8-22) upset Las Vegas (18-12), 93-90.

A'ja Wilson had 42 of the Aces' 90 points. She was 16-22 (73%) from the field and 10-13 (77%) from the FT line.

Megan started but played only 11 minutes. She was 0-3 from two point range, did not attempt a 3 or a FT and ended up with 0 points, 0 rebounds and 1 block.

Kate Martin did not play (coach's decision).

The Aces' bench contributed just 8 pts and 4 rebounds.
I worry that Meg and/or Kate are gonna be looking for new homes next year.

The Aces' depth is sh** and is a big reason why they dropped off from how dominant they were last year. Like it wasn't really close. The Liberty were the 2nd best team and they couldn't hang with the Aces when they were trying.

The Fever would pick up Kate in a heartbeat.

Oh no, that was not allowed. She was thrown into the deep end out of the blocks, but Surprise!, it turns out she was a pretty good swimmer. It just took those in the WNBA some time to realize that. Tell that girl she can't do something - that's your first mistake.

Saw a podcast that put it into perspective.
All these years these WNBA stars were telling us how great they are, the female talking heads talking about the physicality of the league and how CC would have a reality check.
Well, there was a reality check. It turns-out CC is as advertised and those WNBA stars are not as great as they thought they were. They look entitled and foolish now. Their words/quotes are on the record and are now showing them for what they really are. All of it is not flattering and frankly embarrasing for them.

Im fine with that.

The All-NBA/WNBA team shouldn't have to beholden itself to positions, when it's really about declaring the 5 best players and then the next best 5, etc etc.

Not to mention, basketball is (unfortunately......) becoming more and more of a position-less game.

(Well, at least on the men's side.)

Really? I am a big KM fan, but there are a lot of really good UFAs coming up, and I have to believe that a fair number of them would love to play along side of Clark.

There's always 2 that will never get any minutes and most would never be happy being relegated to that role. Get the ultimate glue girl who can also provide versatility in case of extensive injury issues.

I think Kate will probably get another year or two in Vegas. Clark and Colson have taken her minutes and both are free agents after the season.

Meg on the other hand.... I wouldn't be so sure.

Also depends on what happens with the Hamby lawsuit against the Aces/Hammon. Very real chance there is a new coach/front office if the allegations are true.

In the last five game Stokes has scored a grand total of zero points and grabbed 6 rebounds total. My mother could beat that.
Unfortunately, Meg picked up two quick personal fouls in the game and didn’t get much time after that. Shame as she brought a lot more to the table than Stokes.

This is the first time the Fever has played the Sun since that shit head point guard from the Sun was complaining that CC wasn't using her social media as a platform.

I hope CC destroys her.
