Where is that poster who threw out some advanced stats that said a steal was worth 9.1 points? It was only a decade old and has never been repeated but statistics can pretty much be used to tell whatever story you want to tell.
Nope, that was his second year in the league. His first year he was rookie of the year in the NBA, averaging 28 ppg while playing in all 82 games.
Plus/minus has to be one of the most meaningless stats out there.

Oh, I’m not even trying to claim it’s a GOOD stat. Just better than the ridiculous “advanced metrics” this guy is using. At least plus/minus measures shows what good starters might bring to the table in the lineup.
My issue with Reese is what she did to Clark after the 2023 Championship game. The "hey bitch" The Chasing her all around the court with the face wave and pointing at her ring finger. The worst display of poor sportsmanship I've EVER seen on display in what was the womens games biggest moment of the year. I'm not calling her racist, but she and ANYONE who is okay with that or glosses over it, is exhibit A of much of whats wrong today in the world. There isn't a think she'll ever do or say that will take that image from my mind. Rubbing salt in someones open wound and to do so that publicly showed quite clearly what type of person she is.....

At the end of the day, it’s really not all that complicated. I think it’s somewhere earlier in this thread I posted that the Fever won 13 games total last year with essentially the same cast minus Caitlin, and the Sky won 18. Indiana is going to end up very close to if not at or even possibly above 0.500. Chicago I believe will finish with at least a couple fewer wins than they had last year. That by itself tells you who has had the greater impact.

Ion just ran a pregame piece interviewing Sky players about how great their coach is. Is there a more worthless use of an interview segment than pro athletes being asked about their current coach? Not a situation that invites a truly candid interview.

my prediction is that even though they’re missing Chennedy, this game will go right down to the wire just like every game does.
Yep, Fever/Sky is basically a brand new rivalry for the W. And despite it being less than a season old, it's easily the biggest. A lot of emotions. I still hope the Fever can take care of business and put this Angel nonsense behind them.
