Come on Lisa, you are better than this.

I thought.

It’s so funny how it’s gone from Reese should win the ROTY to there should be co-ROTY winners now that Clark has left Reese in the dust in terms of statistics and wins. I’ll bet these pundits wouldn’t be saying this if the Fever were in a free fall and dropping games left and right and the Sky was moving up the standings.

Surely these sportswriters will get it right....

How is the WNBA rookie of the year selected?

The winner is selected by a panel of sportswriters throughout the United States, each of whom casts a vote for first, second and third place selections. Each first-place vote is worth five points; each second-place vote is worth three points; and each third-place vote is worth one point.

Depends on who the writers are.

BetMGM Sportsbook recently listed Caitlin's odds of winning the Rookie of the Year award at minus-5,000, which means oddsmakers consider her a virtual lock.

Clark’s averages for the season (prior to Sunday's game): 18.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 8.3 assists per game. That’s never been done over a full WNBA season. By anyone, rookie or otherwise. For context, only 2 other players — Sabrina Ionescu (twice) and Alyssa Thomas — have averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists over a full season.

Including Sunday's win at Dallas, Caitlin has had 4 games this season with at least 23 points and 12 assists. No other WNBA player has done that in an entire career.

Caitlin will become the 7th player in WNBA history to have made 100 threes in a season.

Thats the thing. Clark is only going to get better. That HAS to be a freakin frightening realization for the rest of the league.....
I think I like the fact that she's pretty much exclusively shooting it one-handed. Especially since she "thumbs" it with her off hand on regular shots, it seems wise (to me at least) to get that hand out of there.

Now if she starts missing ...

Atlanta wins and now has the same record as the Sky for that last playoff spot. They play each other this week and the Dream could overtake them. Getting really interesting.
