How can we get Caitlin to transfer to the Aces? Is there a transfer portal for that?
I think they need to seriously consider trading Boston or smith for a shooter who can run the court.
Or trade CC for a 5 players ?

Saw an article pop up this morning with a headline something like “attendance embarrassing for Angel vs. Cameron” at last night’s Sparks-Sky game. Yeah, guess who wasn’t playing in it?
So I looked up some numbers. W has played 30 non-Caitlin games this season so far. Average announced attendance 7,308. Fever have played 9 games. Average announced attendance 15,564. I realize math is hard for some athletes, but I mean, come on.
What I’d start becoming concerned about if I were a W exec (or maybe I wouldn’t since they appear to be stupid AF) is the fact that the three Indiana home announced attendances have been (sequentially) 17274, 16,013, and 15,022. Granted, these last two have been week nights. I’d be watching tomorrow’s weekend attendance (CC vs. Angel) pretty close. It better be back up near opening night or else I’d be pushing the panic button. People stop giving a fuk about CC and this league just missed its opportunity at people giving a fuk about it for a while.

Actually? Why you gotta do me dirty like that.Agreed actually

This has resulted in a bad product on the court for the fever, and diminishing interest. There are a few of us hardcore fans who tune in, but the others in the office have lost interest or are losing interest. These are big time Iowa fans who just can't take it anymore, and will tune in once the league gets it figured out. By then, most people won't care anymore. At least, not those who were new to the W this year. Rant over.
- The team sucks from a talent perspective more than I could have imagined. Passes and would-be assists foiled by drops and missed open shots. And then just shooting in general, irrespective of anything Caitlin is doing. Just horrible.
- Horrible defense and questionable game management.
- Despite 1 and 2 above, the fever are getting every team's "A game" to show Caitlin up. So no one is sleeping on them, and they are picking up Caitlin full court, all game.
- Linked to 3 above, the refs are worse than the college refs. Just horribly inconsistent, and it sure seems like they are consciously or subconsciously hazing Clark. Defense like that allowed in WVU game during March Madness is the norm, while she seems to get called for tickytack fouls.
- Horrible scheduling for the fever at the beginning of the season cramming so many games in with no rest or time for practice, against most of the best teams in the league.
- The commissioner is either weak or unable to effectively communicate that they are all in it together to grow sustained interest in the W. Bad scheduling and bad reffing, and rather than trying to develop a beautiful game with freedom of movement, crisp passing, and great shooting, they have commercials celebrating how physical the W is. Awesome, you have a shitty version of the 1990s Knicks and Pistons, except with no dunking or fights.

I signed up for the pass, so I’ll likely keep watching but it’s honestly depressing. This isn’t basketball, it’s WWE Diva with a ball.
And they, or rather some of them, (players) you can honestly tell, maybe officials too?! Have a hard on for her.
They said during the broadcast she has faced the most double teams in the league. I love defense, I want to see hard nosed D, but I do not want to see people knocked to the ground routinely or grabbed coming off screens or out of pile ups. It's a bad product.
Nailed it. “A rising tide lifts all boats” is a phrase that nobody and I mean nobody, from the top all the way down to the very bottom, in this league seems to get. Instead they seem to be incurably fixated on which is the tallest ship in the Dead Sea. Either that or they’ve completely and possibly deliberately misread the dynamic behind this rising tide right now. Spoiler alert: it ain’t Breanna Stewart. I mean, having seen her play now I openly acknowledge that she’s a great player, certainly at or at least very near the absolute top of the current women’s game. But I can also tell you I had no freaking idea who she was just a few months ago, and so naturally I didn’t really give a fook about her. And there are legions of others like me who, if you lose us in this moment, are going to go right back to not really giving a fook about her, and we won’t think twice about doing so.We were talking about this at the office. To add, I am in the same boat with Stewart. I had no idea what she even looked like before the first game with the Liberty. After seeing her play all of us in our house were like yep, we get it, she's awesome. But I don't care about her, I likely will never care about her, and I haven't watched a Liberty game not involving the fever. Same goes for every other player in the W except Kate Martin.Nailed it. “A rising tide lifts all boats” is a phrase that nobody and I mean nobody, from the top all the way down to the very bottom, in this league seems to get. Now just think if Mitchell didn't have a sidewinder shot. She plays the hook fairly well but how has no one tried to correct this?
Thanks, missed her in any games she may have played in this year.
Think she will contribute more this year?
7308 is better than last year's 6614 average for the league. Gets them back to 2017 levels. CC vs Reese will draw eyes for sure...they were the two faces of the women's game this Spring.Saw an article pop up this morning with a headline something like “attendance embarrassing for Angel vs. Cameron” at last night’s Sparks-Sky game. This is accurate. I don't want to be Don Downer, but I have been of the belief that after two years that the W would be back almost to the level of obscurity that it was prior to CC. I didn't realize that Indiana would be such a poop-show, but that schedule could be accelerated. Giannis and Tater shocked me. Brunson recently blossomed?

Nice to see her having fun and being with The Meg. I feel bad for CC right now, but it will get better, I'm sure.
Hmm - One woman. I know, I would continue to let her get beat up, as she says "hammered", inhibiting her skill set for a year and then come back next year to see how much yellow is on the board. Perfect marketing strategy. But, heck, what do I know. They can redeem themselves somewhat by at least putting her on the Olympic team.
So happy for "the glue". Just the difference in the FUN she is having vs what CC has to deal with is amazing. Really an interesting watch......
Yeah, I know he was on fire then, but he's had a pretty productive year as well. He was in the mix for MVP, I believe. I don't remember those types of accolades for him that much last year, as I focused a lot on Keegs.when the Knicks were making their run
