Fever will be undefeated in fit checks ….LA gets the silver.

Here’s the Free Agent list.

In my opinion, they have to go after a veteran big that can provide depth. The two names you mentioned are possibilities.

Another one that hasn’t been mentioned is Elena Delle Donne, who sat out this past season. I wonder if she’d want to take one more crack at a run for a championship with a team loaded with young talent needing a veteran presence. Not a traditional big, but at 6’5” and with a great shooting %, she could be a floor stretching PF that would work nicely as a change of pace from Howard. And create a great 4 out, 1 in lineup that would be bonkers to try to defend. At her age she would only be needed for maybe 15-20 minutes per game which should help keep her healthy.

If I’m the Fever, my phone is working overtime trying to make that happen until all efforts have been exhausted.
You know I think she could be the one. Just watched some clips. Kind of a joker type of game. Big, a little slow, nifty passer, good shooter. If they sign her, holy cow what a transformation of players and coaching from the last game of the season a few months ago. They will make some noise.

Okay fever prognosticators, how does the rest of this play out? Trade for Mabrey? Sign Elena Delle Donne? Somehow swing both? Tina Charles? Trying to decide if they more need a big or additional guard. It will be interesting.

I laid it out above. Assuming they trust Berger for 5-8 minutes per game at PG, then they are set at guard.

Clark, Mitchell, Hull, Cunningham, Berger, and Wallace
Boston, Howard, Dantas, KLS, Saxton

Help me with Dallas last year…..Sabally, Howard, Arike? They sucked. Was it coaching? Their kiddie arena? Doesnt make sense to me.

Sabally didn't play until after the Olympics when they were already out of contention. It was the Arike show basically. Howard is great as a 4th option - not as a 2nd.

Howard had a broken foot to start the season. Sabally was injured and played for the German team in the Olympics so was a late arrival. By the time they were healthy it was too late.

Having Cunningham coming off the bench behind Hull is huge. She’s a shooter and playing with CC she’s going to get a ton of looks. Lexi got worn out last year playing way more minutes than she should. Howard is a huge upgrade professionally than Smith. Get a decent player in the draft and see what happens!

Yeah the more I read and learn I think Cunningham will be starting. But, given how similar she and hull are, I love competition between them to outdo each other…

I think Hulls a much better defender Cunningham a better shooter, I’d guess minutes will be pretty close. We’ll see. I still Hull will be our starter.

DeWanna (6'4 forward) turned 37 in August.

Last season, in 40 games, she averaged 32 minutes, 15 pts, 6 rebs, 2 assists, 1.2 steals and .7 blocks.

She shot 42% overall, 29% from three and 83% from the FT line.

Last season the Fever finished 6th in the league (after 1. New York, 2. Minnesota, 3. Connecticut, 4. Las Vegas, 5. Seattle).

Based on all of the player movement, where would you put the Fever now?

How close are they to making the finals?

Minnesota lost to New York in the Finals last season.
