****Official Dayton Game Thread****

I wish I was high instead of trying to get you to understand that the refs tonight were very bad. Anticipation was probably the wrong word, it's more guesswork for college refs. If they don't know, they blow their whistle.
you guys are arguing with the cyclone fan, that is clearly here to gloat over Iowas loss.

Yikes! What a bunch of crybabies! Refs are always bad. There were at least as many bad calls/non-calls against Dayton. We are used to it because it happens all the time at home, besides on the road. This game reminded me of our win vs William&Mary. We got a late lead and pulled it out with poise and confidence. Once we got the lead back tonight, I knew we would be OK. The stress of last season's team of only 7 winning 20+ games has made them tougher and stronger. Cooke and McIlvene sat out and were dying to play. Now they are playing like they've always been with the team. I don't know what will happen tomorrow, but my dream is to play XU on Sunday and beat the crap out of them. :)
Good luck to Iowa and keep winning!
PS--Dayton fans are the best in the country and always come out in force for every tournament. We have almost sold out all of the four home games we've played, including the exhibition game. Largest crowd I've ever seen for one. Last season's trials and tribulations have totally endeared our guys to the fans, even more than making the Sweet 16 the year before. The players know that nothing could be that bad again and are ecstatic to have a full roster.

Still not a good sign overall for the program when Dayton clearly has a team of better athletes than Iowa does. That irks me. DAYTON...

The refs were God awful in this game. It certainly had an impact.

Dayton has some good, quick guards that gave us fits on defense as well. I think they're a good team.

Once Gessell got into the game and got warmed up, I thought Iowa was the better team. Just spotted Dayton too many points and had to exert too much energy coming back.

Hopefully, we meet them again in the tourney.

I was impressed with Iowa coming back after being down 14. They're fighters.

Yeah a couple late bad calls went against us, but not sure what the gripe is. This loss doesn't anger me. Dayton has been, and will be a good team this year. No shame in losing a hard fought game.

Lol what a dumb post. In the NBA the refs wait that extra half second to make sure there is actually a foul. Somehow NBA refs can do it with bigger stronger and faster athletes at every position but we can't expect that from college refs.
Sorry, Butters.

Watching any random NBA game and equating that officiating with the officiating of your beloved is a non-starter. Use your NBA self to observe all basketball. You will live a more fulfilled, aware life.
