Well he’s made all of his 3’s with jbo playing soft defense. Even the step back was weakly played by him. Like I said before, we better wake up.
I'd say MN is lucky to be up 5. Surprised that Fran didn't go Francon 5 over these blown calls
They do get four fouls to call one. Next one should be a call then.

Garza needs to turn it on. 2-11 is rough, and most of those are just rolls not going in.
Iowa has missed a bunch of open shots. MN has not played great D and they are trash AF and getting away with murder.

This is always how the big 10 has been officiated. Home teams always have the advantage. Iowa got lucky with some calls vs purdue.
Iowa playing terrible down 5. The refs are not allowing freedom of movement. Typical Big Ten bad refs. It allows ugly basketball to be played. Minnesota plays garbage basketball. Iowa needs to come out tougher in the 2nd half.

As bad as they played being down 5 is not bad. I look for lots of touch fouls and Garza to dominate the 2nd half.
You'll probably get roasted for the last sentence, but I'm afraid you're probably right. Iowa is a good team that can be lethal when hitting 3s, but I have serious doubts about this team being a conference championship caliber team. This team looks like they'll have another 11-9 type of conference season.

There were some breakdowns but defense is hardly the problem in this game. Hawks shot 32% missing a ton of bunnies and held Minnesota to 38 points on 38% shooting. Iowa won't keep shooting this poorly. Wouldn't be surprised to see Garza go off and the Hawks win by 10 or 12.
I’ll put money on better than 11-9 for anyone willing to wager.

We'll see. It's more of a testament to how good the B1G Ten is. It's certainly possible that 12-8 wins the B1G Ten this year.
IIRC Garza had plenty of bloody lips and noses at home last year. Iowa doesn’t get the home calls like Wisconsin, MSU, and others.
Bench has struggled too with 4 TOs to 3 points and had 3 fouls in short minutes, while Jack really sucked on D...
The conference is no joke and especially on the road. I still like Iowa to go 12-8 or better.
start Keegan, or at least 25 min. Connor is a solid role player/backup, but he can't rebound or defend as well as Keegan and can't get offensive rebound put backs. Plus Keegan probably a lot better 3pt shooter. Keegan has ton of upside..might be stud by end of season. Connor going to to need a consistent 3pt shot, or else he hurts team because opposing coaches don't guard him so they can double Garza.
