On paper, Iowa is better all around. Iowa State is undisciplined, turns the ball over, has a bad OL, and is over matched.

With that being said. They will come out and not turn the ball over. They will not give up a sack. They will run for 100+ and throw for 250+. Iowa turns the ball over twice. Iowa State will not commit any penalties while Iowa will have some phantom holds.

KF is 0-2 vs ISU first year coaches. That stat worries me, but ISU Oline is a work in progress. I heard they might have open tryouts on campus for lineman they are hurting so bad. Iowa fans know about 2007 when our Oline struggled, it makes it very difficult to be successful. Even if you have a great defense, if your oline sucks, its makes the game very difficult.

I think it will be a tight contest, but I think Iowa has just enough to get by. ISU does have some playmakers but its the same scenario as last week. UNI was looking for a "big win" to get their season jump started. ISU will be looking for that same thing this week. I just think Iowa can pound the ball and with Beatherd back there he will be able to make the plays.

On the other hand, KF has a stellar 8-8 record against the 'clones during his tenure. Losing to some truly awful teams.
And he's only got two wins over them of more than 3 TDs.

This game will always terrify me, no matter how good the Hawks are. That's just the kind of game this is.

Hoping Ferentz doesn't let off the gas with the offense; instead I hope he keeps the high energy going throughout the entire game. With Josey Jewell back and the Defense has learned from their mistakes in last week's game, I think this'll be a comfortable win. By Cyhawk standards of course.
