That's a pretty good effort right there.

".....until it's first and goal [ISU ball down 3] with 2 mins left" .... the Iowa defense stiffens as Kirk spits his gum and the crowd fidgets nervously. On 1st down the Clones gain a couple on a run, 2nd and goal from the 5. Jaleel Johnson breaks through for a sack!, 3rd and goal from the 13. Snyder with a break-up in the back of the end zone, 4th and goal fro the 13. Illegal motion ISU, 4th from the 18. Lanning/Manning scrambles, missed tackle for loss, more scrambling.... another sack! Hawks win! But wait ... flag on the play ..... holding Greg Mabin. 1st down Clowns. 2 incompletes and a short pass followed by a TO, ISU 24 yd FG attempt for the tie. Blocked! Unbelievable ...another flag..... Off-side Greg Mabin. 2nd FG attempt from the 2 yard line for OT. Blocked again! No flags. That's football.

note: Greg Mabin appeared here in his designated role as this year's whipping boy.

I was on the edge of my seat. Thought that after repeated abuse, you mighta thrown Mabin a bone and had him run back an interception for TD. And then the coaches and fans could've chewed the idiot out for not downing the ball.

Listened to a podcast where the sports guys were basically saying if ISU wins this weekend, it would be the BIGGEST upset in the KF era or the worst loss of the KF era. Basically said there is not one area that ISU is remotely level with Iowa. Iowa has everything going for them and this shouldn't even be a game.

I still find myself laughing, regardless of talent, this game is always close because of the rivalry and the fact that ISU is comfortable in Kinnick.

I liked their podcast, but the audio quality needed a lot of work. At least it used to be bad so I had to unsubscribe.
