Recruiting does matter folks....sick of all the projects, under the radar, division 1AA, fall backs and all the crappy, slow players that are through and through on the roster...lack of serious athletic talent is going to be Ferentz's undoing.
The best part of this game is listening to the commentators. They are ripping Iowa for poor play and coaching. Sure, they are diplomatic but when an announcer says, "I disagree with that decision" regarding the alternating series for the QB's, he's basically saying, "wtf? That's not a recipe to win or the strategy good coaches use". It kind of reminds of the honest commentary we heard in the Wis game when the announcer ripped Kirk for running a north/south runner (Weisman) on plays designed for a speed back.
Tough for the Kirk apologists to defend this because it's not criticism coming from "ignorant fans" but criticism coming from former football players. These comments speak volumes about how bad a shape this football program really is in and why Kirk needs to go.

Listening to the live feed streaming on KYNT out of Yankton, I'm too cheap to subscribe to Iowa stations. Ed and Dolph are saying the same thing - speed, speed, speed, and Ed can't believe the poor tackling, saying it is going to be a long day, just like everyone on this site. The wife says one more Tennessee score, and she's changing the channel. I told her go ahead, I'm getting more out of the game from this board, and unless the Vols melt down, I'll watch the Hawks again next season. To all the guys and girls who post on this site, thanks for an entertaining year, a lot better than this effort I'm seeing now.
Did KF have his team wear sandals? I know these guys are slow, but looks like they are tip toeing around to try to keep their balance.
