I was in the oil and gas industry in Asia. The company I contracted through was located in South Korea. That was home base. I worked with a lot of Indians as they filled quite a few engineering positions. It was a very international crew. I don't pretend everyone is clueless. I did mess up once and posted something real early in the Uvalde thread. It suggested the shooter was an illegal but the confusion stemmed from the border portal officer killing the suspect. I got jumped on, apologized and deleted the post.

We can perhaps find some common ground in the middle? Describing what happened as "one weekend of renewed violence" is being disingenuous. This was a 9/11 equivalent event and biggest attack on Israel in 50 years man. Hundreds of unsuspecting Israeli citizens were gunned down like animals. Women were raped and killed/kidnapped. 750 and counting are dead. Thousands are injured. Over 100 are kidnapped.
The problem, as I see it, was that these attacks were so heinous and over the top and just pure evil in nature that the Palestinians not in Hamas both living in Gaza and in the world should have been super quick to condemn them and made it very important for all to see it was a bunch of lunatics. But they did not. They seem to have universally celebrated both in Gaza and abroad and indicate that it they had it coming. That causes a massive backlash and massive erosion of world support. Add to the fact that dozens of killed and missing are westerners, and their cries right as hell is unleashed on Gaza simply ring hollow. We can certainly recognize that the Israeli policy and attitude towards them can engender hatred and violence, but nothing at such a level of a heinous attack like that followed by universally praising and celebrating.
So now that this majority mentality is laid bare, Israel is feeling that ALL of these people in Gaza would do this to them again when given the chance, and there is no redemption for them so therefore they need to be done away with and no longer can be left in country. I am truly amazed the people in the Gaza strip could not grasp what they unleashed and how precarious the situation for them all was....Israel is gong to make an example of them.
There is not going to be a Gaza strip now. Not sure what will happen to those people-there are 5 million of them. It will be turned rubble and pushed into the sea. The only question left is will that be enough. I do not think it will. I think Iran is going to get blasted.
