Edit: although the defense has only given up 20 points and were put in a shitty situation before half where they gave up a touchdown. I think the bigger problem is how terrible Darnold has been the last couple of weeks.

This defense was a bit of a paper tiger all season long.; the whole was greater than the sum of its parts. They need an upgrade at DT and CB, and some more bodies along the OL. If McCarthy is healthy, you roll with him next season and see what you’ve got. He has a TON to work with.

No sense of urgency going back to end of 3rd. Plenty of time to get a play off and one was called....but they dont get it off.
Vikings did not not show up to play. Period. I'm not sure what was with J Jefferson wearing a ski mask in Arizona. Darnold was awful. The Oline was awful, the defense was not good.

The only reason I wouldn't roll with mccarthey is if you can get a top 5 or so pick for himAND Darnold asking price is waaaay lower than that 40 million per season floating around. We need too much help on both lines and rumors are Harrison Smith is retiring so DB will be a concern too with all the free agents. We dont have much for draft picks either
It’s because their dipshit GM Kwesi keeps drafting shiny objects like wide receivers and defensive backs, and for the most part ignores the offensive line. His predecessor Trader Rick drafted a lot of linemen and whiffed on nearly every one of them.

Live in the Twin Cities and my son loves football. I was sure as hell not going to make him a Bears fan like myself. I tried steering him away from the Vikings too. I told him just be a fan of the game and don’t pick a team a couple years ago. He didn’t listen to me and started going all in on the Vikings after we went to a game a couple years ago. That was one of their good regular seasons when he says they’ve got a good shot at winning the Super Bowl. I told him he really doesn’t know the Vikings. Guess who was correct.
Today he’s backed off of them quite a bit and mostly just roots for teams with Iowa guys playing big roles. He also roots against the Chiefs because he has some friends that are bandwagon jumpers that are annoying.
