Blacktop is starting to get icy in Dubuque County. Just drizzling rain, but a cold east wind.
Looks like CR is mainly a snow event now. Weather.com is saying 5-8 of that thick heavy stuff.
Yep, good day to just crawl back under the sheets with your mom.Pouring rain now
I’m okay with this
Checking in from Chicago — took the dog out this morning and it was up to my damned knee in places. We’ve probably added a couple more inches since then. It’s the most snow I’ve seen since the Snowmaggeon blizzard 10 years ago.
Bought one last weekend, while we were in QC. Lowe’s had 3 total, all floor models.Gawd I hate shoveling
just ordered this bad boy. I’ll be ready next time Mother Nature!

Wow...I got 7 inches in the driveway. VERY wet, sloppy, hard to throw snow. There are NWS reports nearby of 6.5 and 7 so it ain't no drifting at play here either. This was MUCH more difficult to throw out than Monday's storm as well as that foot we got in late December.
Very surprising storm. Once again the NWS storm predictions come in low for CR this winter.

About a foot so far. Probably another 3 to 5 this afternoon.

Yup. Chicago and the burbs got hammered. And it’s still snowing.
Your flight in and out of either Chicago airport isn’t happening today. Of course, the same thing could be said on a sunny day in June. 😉
Time to change the thread title to polarvotexmagedon. It's going to get chilly there at the end of the weekend.
