Coaches Poll top 18 in order...what I consider "good wins". Losses in parins. I tried to tie it to wins over teams that got votes last week, and all losses.

I may have missed something along the way...not scientific or anything.

1 - OSU = PSU
2 - Baylor = nobody really
3 - TCU = nobody really
4 - LSU = Florida
5 - Clemson = ND
6 - MSU - Oregon, at MICH
7 - Alabama = Wisc (neutral), (Ole Miss), at TAM
8 - Stanford = (at NW), at USC, at WashSU
9 - Notre Dame = (at Clemson), USC, at Temple
10 - Okla State = nobody really
11 - Iowa = Pitt, at Wisc, at NW
12 - Florida = Ole Miss, (at LSU)
13 - Okla = (at Texas)
14 - Utah = Mich, (at USC), at Oregon
15 - FSU = (at GT)
16 - Memphis = Ole Miss
17 - Mich = (at Utah), (MSU), NW, BYU
18 - Houston = nobody

Something tells me Iowa is going to be higher than one might normally predict.

That was an outrageous statement.

He had to HAD TO be trolling Iowa fans on purpose. Did anyone hear the quiet background statement that someone said "ya cause that 10-6 win was impressive"

So losses don't matter? F$&k it, just put Alabama in the playoffs at the beginning of the year. That just blows my mind.

I was hoping they actually looked at the merit of who Iowa has beaten relative to other undefeated teams, and put Iowa at least in the top 6. No other undefeated teams other than Iowa and LSU have beaten three bowl eligible teams. And one of those for LSU was Western Kentucky.

Here's hoping our friends at Pittsburgh knock off Notre Dame this weekend.

Pollack can eat one. Go ahead and discredit the defense we play in the B1G. Memphis is no where close to as deserving.

Also of note, how is ND #5 and Bama #4? Temple is a good team no doubt, but they needed a great play to stop Temple from completing the game winning drive. Bama needed a winning drive to be unranked Tennessee. That coupled with a loss does not trump winning as 8 other teams below them have done every weekend.

Not mad...but I thought they'd roll in at 6-7th. There are teams ahead of them that don't have a single win over anybody that received votes in the most recent polls, let alone anybody ranked.

Doesn't change anything. 13-0 Iowa would leap from a 1 loss SEC team that didn't go to or win the conference championship game.

How does Alabama have the #3 SOS? They beat Wisconsin, good win. Then they have Middle Tennessee State (3-5) and LA Monroe (1-7). They do have a win against TA&M on the road so give them credit for that. But the rest of the schedule they have played is against a bunch of .500 teams. The only other team they played above .500 they lost at home (Ole Miss).

I just don't get it. Bama's best win is 19 A&M. Yes they beat Wisconsin, in a de facto home game by more than we did. But we also dominated that game defensively. Plus.... they have a loss. Notre Dame did lose to the number 1 team by 2, I don't have a problem not penalizing them for that, but.... On equal footing, that loss has to compare to the fact Iowa dominated a team higher in the poll, than their best win.
