Well, Iowa historically plays inconsistent regardless of the year, we could very well lose Ohio St and Wisc, and both Northwestern and Nebraska always play us tough. Add in the fact that nobody looks to be a pushover except Illinois and you get 8-4'ish. Now I like to stay positive unlike other fans and hope 10-2 would be in the cards.
Hey folks ... take a look at Nebraska's schedule and start preparing to be a Cornhusker fan when they play the Badgers. Wisconsin's schedule doesn't have many potential "L"s. From a big picture/how-to-pave-a-path to Indy perspective, Iowa likely benefits from Nebraska beating Wisconsin.

We're not all delusional. I know damn good and well that after this week we are going to have to fight to win another game. We are a bad football team and I don't think there is a quick fix. Tanner Lee seems to be playing scared. If he gets his shit figured out we might win a few more. The D has looked good for the past few weeks but we've also played weak competition. I hope they change my opinion the next two weeks but I won't bet any money on it.
Man...I'll take what we can get. I know ILL is young, and not very good. But it was nice to actually cheer and not be stressed out for he first time this year.
Also, it was interesting watching on a Friday night. Kinda cool to go to bed after your game and know that you still have the full weekend left.

As part of commemorating Goldy's last conference championship, only people who were alive back then were allowed in the stadium today. I'm actually surprised there are more than a couple thousand that qualified, but then I have to remember that with increasing life expectancies, a lot more people are living into their 80s and 90s these days...

So you are arguing that Illinois has been a good football team so far this year? Did you watch their USF game? They were on pace for the most penalties in history. And you can't tell me they were playing good during the Nebraska game.
They are young and undisciplined. They certainly can improve, but to this point they have not played good football.
Let's just hope we don't look like ass against them. This should be a great bounce back for us.
