One-dimensional

Is it just me or is one of our main issues, as a team, that we wrestle way too one-dimensionally?

From neutral: Get inside, wear guys down by pulling on the head and pushing opponents around, often with a russian-tie. Finally, after doing this for a few minutes, take a straight-on shot and hope it works out.

From top: Outside of Clark and perhaps Sorenson, try to chop the arm and tilt. If that doesn't work, we're SOL

From bottom: As a team we're pretty good here, but still have a tendency to only hit stand-ups and get our wrists caught too much. Against tough riders, not creating much back pressure.

Am I wrong? I may be, but just a few thoughts.

For some reason, most elite wrestlers outdo us on fluid chain wrestling, variety of moves/creativity,scrambling ability, flexibility and athleticism. Nobody questions Gilman and Clark's tenacity and toughness, but defend their single-leg attacks and there is usually no Plan B.

Takedowns.......win........matches.

Our style is not aggressive enough to keep up with others
