Open practice roll call

Live goes usually start about 9:30 with a 9 am start and they will go until 10:30 or so. Head into the Southwest side of Carver at the Gable statue. Stairs and elevator will be on your left. Take the stairs to the bottom level ( 2 floors down) and go left off the stairs to follow the hallway behind the stairs. The new basketball practice courts will be on your right.
You will just continue following the hallway as it turns left at the basketball facility. Follow the hallway until you come to the doors that say take your shoes off. Take the shoes off and head on in. Find a spot on the bleachers and enjoy. Sit by someone who knows the wrestlers so you can get names and report back. Don't forget to get a video interview of Tom.

These are great directions. The only thing I would correct is that the entrance by the Gable statue is no the Southwest side, it's the North Entrance. I wouldn't want anyone to get confused by the signage on the building. Although the Gable statue is hard to miss.

Thanks for the correction it seems more West than anything to me. I might have to go there sober some time.

Marinelli is the real deal! Took it to kememer on his feet when I was there. 6 takedowns to 0. Has a slick inside tie to low single. Great scrambler too. Defended Kememer's funk roll attempts great. Poor Paul Glynn was getting hammered by Clark. Logan Ryan looked huge and realize now why Cheif said he wasn't making 141 again. Not sure who he was wrestling but looked very good against him. Stoll wasn't wrestling but was working out and looked like he was healing up well... beat the hell out of a medicine ball!

Thank you kind sir.

So the Bull at 157 and presumed 157 finalist chased up to 165 or 50 page thread chronicling Kem's cut to 141?

Meyer to 197 was Plan A.
I'm like on Plan H at this point.
Oddly enough, as much time as I spend worrying about the lineup, TnT still haven't called for MY opinion.
Just weird.

I heard Jammen, 21 Guns and Tognetti were car-pooling. They had their advance guys installing cameras above the drop-ceiling.

Both from what I have been told. Anybody care to disclose if Bradley is coming in this year?

I heard that Stoll is on track to be 100% by January and that Bradley is no longer in the picture for Iowa Wrestling. He completed his mission, got married, and now has a different focus. Life happens; and goals change.

Wow. Better find a HWT recruit then!

Well, Crap. Best of luck to him. Guess this will free up more $ for Berge and Warner. Will have to go hard for a heavy in 2018 class. Stevenson is probably a Minny, ASU, tOSU, PSU lean. I would figure Nevills would be joining his brothers at PSU, and Walker will most likely be a Oklahoma State lean. Shultz will be wrestling at Night of Conflict so hopefully he has a great experience and can come in as a TF for the Hawks.

Stevenson is absolutely the future of American Heavyweights. He DOMINATED Colton Schultz in their meeting and Schultz is heads and shoulders better than Nevills. Hoping the staff is all in on Stevenson. Any heavy other than him is a consolation prize from a recruiting standpoint. He has multiple time AA and national championships written all over him. In all honesty as a Cadet level kid, his technique is good enough to compete against college heavies now. His focus should be on putting on man muscle and building a solid gas tank. And his name is friggin' Gable for shit's sake. Coincidence? I think not.

Well if that is true about Bradley, that absolutely sucks, on a number of levels. I guess I'm going to reserve further commentary until I see some finality.

Looks like Teske, Bennett, and Costello had an official/unofficial visit to Iowa yesterday.
Anyone at practice yesterday see any others?

Not familiar with Bennett or Costello. Info please?

Bennett was 3rd this past year at 106 for Fort Dodge. As a freshman he was behind Teske, probably would have been one of the top kids in the state that year. This year his loss at state was to Biscoglia in the quarters. He was the second best 106 in 3A.

Costello is a heavyweight that finished runner-up to Gremmel last year in Iowa. I believe he's from Western Dubuque? Haven't seen him wrestle, nor anything else about him. Pot calling kettle black here, but pictures don't indicate a DI wrestler, but definitely need depth at HWT. Again, that is just based on pictures alone. Can't be too bad if he finished 2nd in 3A.
