So, is it safe to say that we would have had a lot of different national champions in the BCS era? Cause the 1 and 2 seeds are long gone.

The other weird thing, is teams like OSU will be stacking a bunch of "major bowl" wins...

Quite probably. Upsets happen, after all.

That being said, OSU as an 8 seed was an absolute freaking joke. They would have been in my four team playoff field, and they’re going to end up winning it all. Notre Dame is a cool story, but the Buckeyes are on another level when they play to their potential.

Ohio St. do you remember how to play defense?

To be fair, I think OSU, Oregon and Texas are the 3 most talented teams in the country. I read that OSU could have 16 to 17 players drafted in the next NFL draft which could break Georgia's record of 15 set around 3 or 4 years ago

OSU has the best redzone defense in the country. They've stopped teams from 1 and goal inside the five multiple times this year. When you can't get beat deep with all those aggressive players and huge DTs make it hard to do anything.

I’m at a Cub Scout winter camp with my son and didn’t see the game last night. Two questions:
1. Was Matthew McConaughey in his Brokeback Mountain costume on the sideline?
2. Did he cry at the end of the game?

They lost 2 games and didn’t make the conference championship game. So they wouldn’t have been in a 4 team playoff. They’re probably the most talented team but they’re lucky they expanded the playoffs. Didn’t think they played very well on offense last night and still think they could lose to ND if Howard makes mistakes. Not a big believer in him but the rest of the team is so talented. And if Day gets into a rock fight like he did against Michigan they also could lose.
