OT-Former Iowa State player shot and killed

Odd would be someone claiming to be all about winning and claiming to support a football team that is what.... 120 or so games below 0.500.

0C fits you to a tee!

Being an ISU football fan is not fun I'll give you that one. I was speaking to basketball though

That's odd to me but I appreciate you answering the question honestly. Winning is by far the most important thing for me but I know it isn't that way for everyone.
You'd be a good sec football fan then. Lots of shit heads playing down there with shady backgrounds you could cheer for

Winning is winning. Simple as that. It does not change for seasons or sports. You got caught trying to be cute again and now are going into prime 0C mode to attempt to climb out of the hole you created.

Speaking of which - did you hear the latest news coming out of the big xii meetings? OU fans are not at all happy and would rather make the move (as in conference) sooner rather than later. Can't be good either way in the future.

Winning is the most important thing to me, just because our football program sucks doesn't mean I change my stance on it. Luckily there is always beer at my tailgate

Sure it is. Let me guess, you are one of the 'fans' that Mr. Pollard was begging to return to Jack Trice following some of the early blowouts that have occurred. Is everyone at your tailgate of legal age to be drinking all of that beer you are so proud about?

Remember, once 0C forever 0C. There is no turning back.

Yes

Either one of two possibilities.... 1) you are lying which we already know you are very capable of and/or 2) you have very few friends which is entirely likely.

0C keeps on posting... how many days consecutive now? Morning, noon and night!

Why would I lie about underage people drinking at my tailgate? Everyone is either well above the legal drinking age or small children. You're an odd dude

Because that is what you do. It is part and parcel of your being. Go back and reread the volumes of minutia you have posted here on HR... it will not be long before even you can spot one of your many lies.

Hey, why the 'radio silence' on the latest unrest from the big xii brethren? Just a few days ago you were so certain that the league was so unquestionably solid. What happened?

I still think the Big 12 is fine, you don't, agree to disagree

But you have no credibility. It does not matter what you 'think'. The world it keeps on a changing and you are being left behind with your inability to reason and all of the misspent time here on HR. Much better to return to the like-minded CF where all of your 'friends/drinking buddies' will buy in to your bs.

If winning is so important why do you go tailgate at football games? I mean getting punked by UNI and NDSU doesn't support your winning mantra.

I don't think signing a convicted felon who served four years in prison is helping your case of Fran only recruiting quality kids or being some strict disciplinarian when he's not

If I remember correctly, there were a lot of national pundits that gave McCaffery a lot of props for giving a young man, who had served his time and apparently rehabilitated himself, a second chance. None of us know exactly went wrong, but evidently a red flag went up and he was cut loose before he could taint the program.

Given some of the on and off-court antics of your players, I really can't understand you Clone fans on here trying to equate the two programs.

I don't get how Fred was winning at all costs but Fran isn't. Fred never brought in a convicted felon, Fred never let a player get arrested twice, spend four days in jail and then never suspend them for a single game. I actually don't think there is a single basketball coach in America that would do that honestly but that's up to Fran and how he wants to run his program. It appears Fran will do what it takes to win. For what it's worth, I don't have a problem with Fran's or Fred's approach since neither of them have broken any rules
The fact that you are too dumb to realize that being suspended from ALL activities for 2 months is worse than missing a game vs some podunk U, speaks volumes.

Fred would probably have ONLY suspended Jok for a game vs some nobody at the beginning of the season but allowed him to practice, work out at their facilities and play all summer in league.

Good argument moran

Difference is Fran had a zero tolerance policy. What ever he did to get asked to leave never had any criminal charges or involved the police. With BDJ this kid suspended and asked to leave the other 2 programs. You'd think their would be stricter guidelines or penalties if he got in trouble or screwed up. But no instead of doing any thing of the such Fred tried to make an agreement with the PD and the neighbors. Seriously how many players go to 3 schools for sports and get asked to leave or suspended at all 3.
You could add "and get shot and killed for exhibiting similar thuggish Behavior" to what he did everywhere else he's been.

By the way isn't punching someone and breaking their nose, like he did at USC, possible to get charged as a felony?

Fran obviously swung and missed on Hubbard. The fact you are pretending like it's a positive is funny though

Name another basketball player that got an OWI and didn't miss a game. I'll wait

Also what is a moran?

Not bball but with football does the name Jason Berryman ring a bell? Love how he "red shirted" being that he was in jail for 258 days and incarcerated for 04' season. And how many games did Iowa State make him sit or suspend him for? The answer to that question is ZERO. So cycity keeps asking name another player to not be suspended for being in jail 4 days. Please tell me one other who didn't miss a game after being in jail 258 days.

Shows he played in every game

How about this guy!?!?

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-bas...ick-emmitt-holt-team-discipline-thomas-bryant

Thomas Bryant was not suspended for being 18 and possessing Vodka!?!? I wonder if it was because he was a freagin' McDonald's All American!?!?

But here you go, CyCity. Spin away! Why doesn't this one count?

Edit...I'm going off memory on these, then looking up the media. God help Cy and his "point" if I had access to the SEC records.

Perhaps you should do your home work just assuming that Fred did not suspend Nader and Thomas from all activities. If you think that you would be wrong but it fits your agenda so why not use it.

FYI Thomas (June) and Nader (April) were both suspended indefinitely. I can't find an article that says exactly when their suspension ended but I think the link below is the right one that says Nader was still suspended when Thomas was initially pulled over for a defective light. It sure doesn't appear the Ames brass gave him any special treatment as you folks like to flaunt. I've read my quota at the Register so can't open this article to make sure this is the right one. You can burn me at the stake if I made a mistake.

I don't know if any of those kids played in the summer league but even if still under suspension I don't see why they would be denied that since it is not school sanctioned or on school premises.

I don't know but you'll probably tell me if Jok was suspended at all until his second arrest. Some one reported it was not Jok's moped but in an article I read the police called it his. One thing Jok didn't learn from the first arrest besides not driving with a suspended license was to fix his faulty equipment. If another player did loan him his moped after Jok was already charged with riding it while under the influence that doesn't show good judgement on his part either. Fran said of each of his wayward players that they are all wonderful kids. If that is so I wonder why the Cyclone players who did the same thing would be any less?
