I'm reminded of this...

Funny thing is, during the Pelini years Eichorst says it was his policy not to comment on football during the season. Well we saw what happened almost immediately after losing to Northern Illinois.

Nebraska fans think they have the best everything...
-Fans
-Stadium
-Facility
-Tradition

You try to tell them otherwise, it's not like that anymore, etc... They immediately run you and your program into the ground and remind you about their five national titles.
I'm glad Nebraska will never win a game ever again (fairly). The only thing good to come out of Nebraska is the hot young engineer who just got hired at the place I used to work. And she graduated from Iowa.

It's not that Nebraska fans wouldn't be satisfied with an 8- or 9-win season. It's the fact that the team is routinely taken to the woodshed by the upper echelon teams.

Nebraska fans just want a team that is consistently competitive. Do that, and wins and the chance at championships will follow.
So, Northern Illinois is an "upper echelon" team? Nebby is just very fortunate that they played Rutgers today, who didn't know how to close it out.

Yea a lot of people are calling for Les, but he was definately biased because his son is a redshirt freshman FB on the team haha. I think having to play Bama every year really hurt him overall, but his biggest knocks were not having a qb/developing him.

Some other names I have possibly heard are Frost (obviously), Stoops (doubtful), Chip Kelly (lol), and Dava Aranda (which I like)
To say that Stoops is "doubtful" is the biggest understatement of the year :)

Cool, but not in Lincoln ever again.
