OT: Spencer Petras

So he could learn last years playbook but not this one? Honestly I’m amazed anyone can play…..this is sarcasm. We see guys all around the country come in and play right away at all positions.
Like Vander Zee this year. It’s probably a self-discipline thing with Brown. IIRC he had a slow start last season because he didn’t pay attention in meetings and film study.

Vander Zee had a good game against Illinois St and has been pretty quiet with a few drops along the way. His most eye raising play was against Illinois St when Cade threw into triple coverage and VZ came down with it in the end zone.

He had a couple of catches at OSU. My point, though, is that despite being new to the WR position he is ready to play as a true FR. Unfortunately, Brown lacks the mental focus even now.

70% at OSU despite the INTs. Accuracy was only a problem against ISU. You might want to fact check yourself rather than rely on lazy BS. You can make a good case for a QB change without misinformation.
The interception he did throw was pretty obvious holding or PI IMO. Zee was being assaulted and wasn't able to come back for the ball as the play was designed.

I’ve watched three possessions of Petras all year here in the last 20 minutes of real time and he’s turned it over every possession

Right, but you made up the completion rate stat. And even Minnesota is over 50%.
You are wasting your time arguing with swagsurfer or whatever his handle is as I dont think he reads other posts with much understanding and just throws stuff out there

And not sure they are a hawk fan for all the player bashing. Yeah, our passing attack is pretty weak but Cade is completing a much higher percentage of passes than last year.

I seem to recall some poster here obsessed with completion pct as the most important qb stat when comparing Petras vs Padilla. But really it's just Yards Per Play and INTs per Pass that matter. Good runs, bad sacks, good throwaways, and short passes accomplishing nothing all make completion pct a deceptive stat. Bottom line for a qb is: can you sustain drives that lead to points?
