Sure but you need to consider where Nebraska is at as a program. A bowl game in NYC would be a huge accomplishment for that dumpster fire.Even Debbie fans at 5-5 still give a shit. Says a lot about you. Maybe you need a better team to follow.

Yeah, screw my teammates, the fans, and the scholarship I was given in exchange for my commitment to the football program. If you own a stock, and you know for certain that the price will never go higher, you are going to sell. It makes absolute no sense to hang onto that stock any longer. For the same reason, when players like KJ have put themselves in position to be Drafted as high as they possibly could, it makes no sense to keep playing at the college level (even if it’s the middle of the season) and risking injury (i.e. your stock going down). There is nothing dishonorable about walking away from a team that is bowl eligible but has already fallen short of every other goal. Just plain, simple, hard truth. Get used to it.
Nope. Not gonna get used to it.If you own a stock, and you know for certain that the price will never go higher, you are going to sell. It makes absolute no sense to hang onto that stock any longer. Great point. 100+ teams aren't even worthy of their fan bases in the view of some internet posters. These games are not meaningless. 8-4 is a lot better than 6-6. Better bowl, more satisfying. It's important to the program to win as many games as possible. Important for the fans (most of them), important for recruiting.
What does it take for a CF game to be meaningful? A championship or CFP spot? That's it? Well, then there are about 100 football programs in the FBS that didn't even need to suit up this year.
I'm gonna be really pissed if important players skip these games.
Blame the current system. These games are not meaningless. 8-4 is a lot better than 6-6. Better bowl, more satisfying. It's important to the program to win as many games as possible. Important for the fans (most of them), important for recruiting.

I see what you did there.Sure but you need to consider where Nebraska is at as a program. A bowl game in NYC would be a huge accomplishment for that dumpster fire.
I do not think Harris is doing himself any favors for the draft if he is not hurt and quit on the team. He is not a high draft pick from what I have seen, and character does play a role. So, if he is not a sure thing for an NFL team, I could see teams passing on him. That's who I heard but I now heard Castro is on the plane.
Are you kidding me? People are talking about how the season is over and no need to watch/care anymore. Talking about how bowl games are silly. The apparent apathy to play the games for the games sake is alarming. What world are you walking around on?I am, but I still love it. I miss a time when roses might be thrown out of the press box, but seeing the black and gold still hits the same for me.
I’m not sure what you mean by “in trouble,” but college football seems to be doing quite well, and people aren’t turning their TVs off any time soon. The money is only increasing. Do you think college football is in danger of waning? I would agree to disagree, if that’s your feeling.
If you are suggesting college football as an amateur sport is in trouble, then yeah, I get that. It has been like bankruptcy in that sense. It happens very slowly, then all at once.
Well they are being paid now, maybe not Hall, but that's where we are at.It is a bizarre thing to feel the need to bring up to a D1 football player, but here we are.
Thank f-ing God we had players like Jack Campbell and Jay Higgins then right? They kept laying the hammer game after game because there was game to play. They love Kirk.Certainly looks like the wheels are coming off this season.
KF doesn't need the $$$ and is probably sticking around so his SIL has a job.
Just end this shitshow!
If I'm KJ and the Doak Walker is off the table, I'd sit.
Nobody gives a shit about a 7-5 season.
There was a 3rd and 8 play at the end of the game last week. The receiver made the catch but was still probably 5 yards shy. Instead of making the hit and forcing the receiver out of bounds short of the sticks, Harris pulled up and let him backpeddle for a first down to essentially end the game. Had to look terrible on film afterwards. After the play he just kind of stood there with a bewildered look and hands on hips. I thought the whole sequence was odd at the time. I wonder now if it was a harbinger of things to come with him.I do not think Harris is doing himself any favors for the draft if he is not hurt and quit on the team. Jemari was the king of thinking if he hit the guy and did not wrap his arms the ball carrier would just fall down. Great player though. There was a 3rd and 8 play at the end of the game last week. I asked about a month ago if KF had lost the team, maybe this will get him to retirebor BG to escort himninto retirement.I'm hearing rumors they are BIG names. It is one thing to sit out a bowl game. Regular season games...
As much as they throw the football 100%Is Harris worth a 2.5-point move in the betting line?
I would think not.
I don’t disagree, but I am surprised the total also came down. After seeing our backup corners in action, absolutely.
Not.I asked about a month ago if KF had lost the team, maybe this will get him to retirebor BG to escort himninto retirement.
No offense to the current team but we only have a handful of nfl type players. 2 of them (LBers) will not be sitting out. No way. The remaining fringe nfl guys you’d think only 1, maybe 2, has the tape to sit out the remainder of the year. 👀
If this is true, college football needs to reign in this crap and get it solved with contracts. People opting out of regular season games should be reason to fine them. If we are paying these players, why are they not getting fined or penalized in any way? They have every advantage right now. The schools need to get some power back.I'm hearing rumors they are BIG names. It is one thing to sit out a bowl game. Regular season games...
Who did he lose? Jemari? If he lost Cade I thought most on here were happy with that.I asked about a month ago if KF had lost the team, maybe this will get him to retirebor BG to escort himninto retirement.
I couldn’t care less what you think of me now, tomorrow, or 50 years from now.
So are you Kirk’s nephew or perhaps cousin?
Who did he lose? Jemari? If he lost Cade I thought most on here were happy with that.
Yeah. This might have taken a known weakness and turned it into a dumpster fire.As much as they throw the football 100%
Jay Higgins got on the plane.
You would be wrong, Harris has rated out quite well this season and with a combine performance could vault himself up draft boards.I do not think Harris is doing himself any favors for the draft if he is not hurt and quit on the team. He is not a high draft pick from what I have seen, and character does play a role. So, if he is not a sure thing for an NFL team, I could see teams passing on him.
It's going to be ok boomer. Especially seniors leaving the team gives experience to underclassmen to fill those roles. If this is true, college football needs to reign in this crap and get it solved with contracts. Not a 1st rounder. Quit on your team during the regular season and you are nothing but a baby back bitch. You would be wrong, Harris has rated out quite well this season and with a combine performance could vault himself up draft boards.
I thought I just saw a post-game clip of Harris singing Kirks praises after a recent game. Quite the change of attitude in a couple of weeks. At CB, I'd think risk of injury is pretty low compared to other positions.......Kakert confirmed Cade did not make the trip and sounds like Harris may not have as well.
We won’t have anything near 8-10 drafted. Most will be free agents. I think think this season showed some of those guys aren’t as good as we thought.Really? Could be 8-10 guys on this team drafted. KJ, Lachey, Jones, Higgins, Jackson, B!ack, Castro...tben maybe Craig, Harris, Hurkett, Connor.
LOL, Harris has been with the team since 2019, and see his stock as high as it has ever been. Having players in the league is a huge win for the hawks and this years draft class could add a solid number to what is already there. Not a 1st rounder. Quit on your team during the regular season and you are nothing but a baby back bitch.
That doesn't address the issue negatively impacting college football. It's going to be ok boomer. Especially seniors leaving the team gives experience to underclassmen to fill those roles.
