You are on crack if you don't think they did any game planning specific to Lovett prior to that match.
That’s not really the point, imo. They are masters at making adjustments AFTER getting beat, imo.

No shit Sherlock, that's common knowledge and I never said they didn't. My point was against the idiotic take that they just winged it on Friday without any game plan before the match. People acting like it was their first exposure to Lovett.

Gopher freshman Charlie Millard just beat Cody Chittum 9-4 in the finals of the cyclone open. I’m pretty happy about that one.
From one former school he verbaled to another .

Lilledahl is good, but has been very underwhelming offensively in folkstyle. Reminds me a lot of Davis last year. Wins most of the time, but is one mistake away from losing a lot which is dangerous for a freshman especially.

That is definitely fair. He definitely needs to get stronger and he needs to increase his attack rate. Keeping matches tight like that usually comes back to bite you sooner or later.

Don't disagree, but to be expected for most freshmen adjusting. He's got all the tools to be a multi timer if he keeps improving.

agreed. it has to be concerning that he has so much trouble penetrating against quality opponents. it’s one thing to get in and not finish which is common for freshman but it seems like he has had trouble even getting in deep. it’s still early though and i’m sure the PSU staff will get it fixed.

Gotta feel for Posnanski - giving up 7 Barr takedowns in a minute. Gonna be a fun matchup next week. Buchanan’s going to have to make Barr pay on the mat.

Is Trey Munoz of Oregon State done for the year? I don’t think he’s wrestled since Cliff Keen?

Has Lemley regressed from last year?
Seemed to be wrestling with a lot of confidence last year especially after the upset of Woods. But I think he went 1-2 at Nattys last year and has losses this year, lost his swagger. Hardy has both offense and counter offense and is a hard nut to crack but Lemly didn't really have anything against him.

He has a 1-3 record against Robb and faded pretty bad last night. His losses this year are to quality top ten guys. However, based on results since last years BT Tournament, he’s not an AA contender. He’s certainly one of those guys who could survive and advance.
